Karo Cottage,Taylors Bay - comfortable and cosy for your next beach holiday.

This well maintained, three bedroomed Initial home is an immaculate seaside rental. The section is fully fenced and the large flat lawn areas are well used for games. Taylor s Bay beach is a mere 50m walk away; a very safe beach for children and excellent for kayaks and beach fishing.
With large living areas opening onto a super sized deck, it is perfect for lazing in the sun and watching sunsets in the evenings. A well equipped kitchen with excellent appliances, plus extra fridge and extra freezer. Also a BBQ on the deck to cook your catch!
There is an excellent library of books, videos, DVDs and games if you need entertaining. No TV but there is unlimited WIFI and mobile phone reception is reliable in most places around the peninsula.
The three bedrooms are well appointed; 2 queen rooms and a bunkroom with 1 single bed and 1 set of bunks. A double sofa bed is available in the lounge if necessary. All duvets,pillows and extra blankets supplied.
Bathroom with shower and separate toilet.
The house gets all day sun, but if the weather turns cool there are two efficient wall panel heaters to warm the house.
Please note that a minimum of 3 nights stay is required when booking.

Karo Cottage in March

Lovely comfortable feel to this property and very friendly and helpful communication from owner.There's plenty of beaches to choose from - safe swimming beaches to surfing beaches.We would be happy to stay here again.

A well loved bach tucked down a quiet road in Taylors Bay. The facilities were excellent,the kitchen well set out, beds comfortable and a very relaxed feel to the bach. I highly reccomment this for a small family or group.

Comfy and close Batch

We wanted to be close to Taylors Bay and it is certainly close only a minute or 2's walk. Very close also to the Mokotani walk track up the hill. Cottage had all anyone would need for a beach stay. Lovely and quiet also. Was only the 2 of us but great place for a family stay!

Kiwi Bach

This property has everything you need for a typical kiwi beach holiday. We were very happy with the communication from our hosts when we needed them and enjoyed our winter getaway! The house was really warm on those cold nights and the sunny lounge was a great place to curl up with a good book.

Mahia Family Getaway

Karo cottage was a wonderful place to spend our family getaway, our first stay in Taylors Bay side of Mahia. Ideal for families with youngest a safe swimming beach 50 meters or so from the cottage. The accomodation more a 3 bedroom house than a cottage on a full size section, great for all kinds of games. This holiday home offers so much. we would love to return.

My family stayed at Jude’s bach and had a great time. It is your quintessential kiwi beach bach and has loads of character. Everything you need and then some. Close to Taylor’s bay which we actually preferred to Mahia beach. We’d come back for sure
