About this property

Quiet suite nestled in the Elk River valley of the Rocky Mountains

Great location in a walk out downstairs suite for a family vacation or friend getaway. We are located in the Elk Valley only an 8 minute drive from the popular Rocky Mountain town of Fernie B.C. , and 15 minutes to world known Fernie Alpine Resort.
If you love fly fishing, the Elk River is only a 5 minute walk from the property. There are many hiking and biking trails also accessible from your doorstep.
The property is located on 1/2 an acre of nicely landscaped features with many activities to enjoy, from a BBQ and glass of wine on the patio, or game of badminton or bocce, or just a relaxing marshmallow roast over a cozy bonfire!
There is plenty of room indoors to spend time with your family and friends with a game of pool, watching a movie on the 50" flatscreen or maybe just a fun board game in front of the cozy gas fireplace.
Feel free to wander around the yard and sample some fresh berries or fruit from the many trees and gardens on the property.

This was our third time staying here and it was perfect as always! The location is close to everything (about 10 mins to Fernie) but far enough away for quiet. The perfect refresh and recharge stay. The fire pit and that view is *chefs kiss*. We can't wait to come back!

Being on the lower level it was surprisingly quiet. We really enjoyed our stay, the property and accommodations was excellent. The only issue was the ability to make phone calls which really wasn't a problem for us.

Cool Basement Suite

Lovely large basement suite as we had plenty of room for four adults and one dog. The backyard was perfect for the dog and during our stay it was a cool haven as it stayed cool during the week of sizzling temps in Fernie. Would definitely consider staying again!

Spacious pet-friendly rental

This was our second stay at this property in Hosmer about 10 minutes from Fernie. It is reasonably convenient to the ski hill - about a 20 minute drive. We love the bright, nicely decorated and spacious layout. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and pet-friendly - all the things we look for in a vacation rental!

I am a true local having grown up in the Elk Valley and have lived here for over 40 years. So I can probably help you with any advice of the area that you might be interested in to make your stay as memorable as possible. I love enjoying all outdoor activities which the area has no shortage to offer. I bought this quiet property to be close to the elk river and have the amazing view of the surrounding mountains. I enjoy being able to share this with guests so they are able to enjoy a vacation in a place that I hope they also find as peaceful and beautiful as I do.
I also love to travel so I try to offer accommodations that would be what I would look for with a reasonable price and all the amenities and cleanliness of a comfortable home. I wish all my guests a wonderful stay!
