About this property

Beach Victorian Bluff!

Available year round, this 1900 Victorian home is freshly renovated. The cozy atmosphere is complimented by the cast iron fireplace. It abounds in turn-of-the-century character and charm--all sorts of architectural detail that modern houses lack.
There are amazing water views, plus views of Moosebec Reach and Beal's Island across the 120' croquet lawn with a fire pit. The bluff borders a 100'-wide private beach below. There is a boat mooring available.
Watch the lobster boats come and go or walk down to local piers for fresh lobster and other seafood any time of the year.
The house is conveniently located near Jonesport Pizza Shoppe, Bayview Seafood Shack (seasonal) and Hamilton Marine--a gift and hardware store. The house is also a few blocks away from the local grocery store and the public boat launch at Sawyer's Cove, which is calm and picturesque. The quaint town library is directly across the street.
Plus, the Wass Island Nature Preserve is only a ten-minute drive away. The preserve offers a 1.5-mile hike, which brings you to an expansive, rocky ocean coast. You'll see nothing but wildlife and ocean for miles.
You also have the option of scheduling a boat ride on a lobster boat down the Pleasant River or enjoying a 1.5-mile stroll along Sandy River Beach--one of the most immaculate beaches you'll ever see.
Not to mention the fact that the house is only 1.25 hours from Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec, Eastport and Canada.
Most of all, this home is the perfect place to simply relax. Lounging in the front yard, you can smell fragrant Maine pines, the wide ocean and enjoy the warm sunshine. There's really no place like it on Earth.

Vacation in downeast
We throughly enjoyed our stay in Jonesport. The view from the house is lovely and the peace and quiet was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed cooking many meals but also enjoyed trips to Machias for a meal at Helen’s and to Chipman’s Wharf in Milbridge. Wonderful area with friendly locals. Highly recommend it!

Enjoyed our stay
Nice spot on the bay. Jonesport is a quiet town with beautiful coastline hiking nearby. Not lots of restaurant choices in the area, but we had a very good visit.

Jonesport 2023
Scott's house was the perfect central location for my mother's & I visit. Lots of day trips! Bring your passport to go to Canada. The lawn overlooking the harbor was a great place to watch boats, read & relax. We did a lot of beach walking. The beach is covered with shells of all kinds & glass so you definitely want shoes on. Just down the road is Sandy River Beach, again good for walking & that is where I went to read with toes in the sand. We got clams from Hattie at Moody Seafood & mussels from Bobbie Jo at Moosabec Mussels. Bobbi Jo recommended Look Lobsters for lobsters but we had a family friend in the area that we got those from. We got blueberries from Wescogus Wild Blueberries. Plenty of spots to get fresh eggs from. Mannafords Market in town was a good place to get some simple staples. Of course we had to get some red-hot dogs! The Shop & Save in Columbia was the better store for veggies and produce. The house was comfortable & clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans & doodads. There were coffee filters, we did bring our own & ground coffee. Plenty of towels & face clothes. There was detergent & dryer sheets for the washer/dryer. I stayed in the room that Gene Autry stayed in. My mom was so excited about that. He wrote "Here Comes Santa Claus" & "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer". Beautiful morning light through the windows. Breakfast was always in the viewing room. There is a TV but who needs one you are staying at the beach!

Beautiful view
Perfect location for our photopgraphy excursions. The house was quaint and clean. It was easy to find and the location had a beautiful view out the back. The Pizza shop a short walk down the road was perfect and delicious too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
