One of the oldest cottages in Parwich built in limestone and containing many exposed beams. The cottage is located in a prime position on a quite lane very close to the middle of the village and just a few minutes stroll to them Sycamore pub and shop. Farm View Cottage was built circa 1680 and has recently been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Guests describe the bath room as 5 star standard with wet room shower, double end bath, high standard fittings and underfloor heating.
A new en suite W.C. has also just been installed in the bedroom.
A log burning stove is installed in the kitchen /dining room whilst a traditional coal fire is available in the lounge. All logs and coal are provided.
The cottage is particularly cosy during the Autumn and Winter months and provides an ideal location for walking and touring based holidays. Two cycles are available for the use of guests and nearby cycle trails can be explored including the Tissington Trail , High Peak Trail and Manifold Valley Trail.
Parwich is 7 miles from Ashbourne and Dove Dale and 15 miles from Buxton and Bakewell. Parwich is probably the most attractive village in the Peak Park and has a unique tranqill and bucolic atmosphere. Great walks can be commenced in all directions from the cottage and short strolls around the village to admire the many limestone cottages and gardens.
A well equipped bookcase is provided stocked with many walk books and maps plus a large variety of other books DVD;S and games. Farm View Cottage is located just 200 yards from the sports ground with tennis courts and bowls green.
For the Winter months we provide an electric blanket
Note The Cottage has a quite steep staircase leading to the Lounge and the bedroom is up a further staircase. It is not suitable for anyone with any disability.
