Bertram is possibly Lorne's largest older style holiday home suitable for those wanting something basic and tidy but with fantastic views to enjoy.

It has 4 bedrooms, 2 spacious living areas, deck and an open fire to attract winter holiday makers as well as summer. It has easy access to Stony Creek beach, away from all the hustle and bustle.

Linen not provided - Hire available

Firewood is only supplied from May to October.

Just a few general words about the property.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

A Great Holiday House

This older style holiday home has large rooms and sleeps 13 (4 QS beds, 5 singles) plus stunning views. the owners are upgrading the property but it is very comfortable as is. Nice kitchen, two modernised bathrooms, one older style bathroom and two large sitting/family rooms plus a very usable deck to enjoy the view. Only a 10 min walk to the nearest beach and 5 mins in the car to Lorne central and the SLSC beach. We will book again.

Interesting stay

Negative = House has no name 'Bertram' or number on it? Both rear doors had no keys? however staff rectified this promptly. Cars can be driven to rear of house and easily unloaded to upstairs kitchen and bedrooms. We understand its pet friendly but carpets were filthy and should be floorboards or tiles throughout (same as kitchen & dining areas) or carpets cleaned regularly. We were told further renovations/improvements are happening. House was very clean in and out but has a musty smell and needs regular airing. Downstairs has no heating or cooling? For the money we paid, at least wifi should available. Positive: Contact staff were friendly, helpful & efficient = Thankyou very much. Upstairs has been renovated and is very comfortable. Bed linen, sheets, pillows & doonas are supplied. There are beds for 10 people. Kitchen very well stocked and even basics are in pantry. Great open fireplace (lots of wood avail) & also great ocean views. Quiet & peaceful and even had a mama kangaroo on our front lawn for a few days. A relaxing 45 min beach walk to Lorne. Generally we had a good stay and would book again if carpet issue addressed. Its a great place for larger families with pets to stay.

Lovely stay

Beautiful view and very large and comfortable. It’s a 25 min walk to town but it is beautiful. We took our dogs and the only thing that wasn’t clear is that if there was an enclosed backyard which there wasn’t. It was ok as they hung out on the balcony though. Otherwise I do recommend!!

Big House and Great Location

This house is in a great location in Lorne. Great views and within easy walking distance to the beach and only 20 min walk to the town centre. The house is large with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and comfortable beds. There's plenty of cutlery and crockery and the kitchen is awesome! Good sized fridge and plenty of cupboard space. There are 2 living areas - one upstairs and one downstairs which is great for the kids to hang out. The house is gradually being renovated and will look great once completed. The only downside was that the carpets were not cleaned properly after previou guest had pets inside, the bath had not been thoroughly cleaned and the place could do with some pest control, as there were spiders, bugs and cobwebs around the place. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again with a large group as it was ideal for our purposes.

Comfortable with fantastic location

We have just booked in to come back for our third year. The house is spacious and very comfortable. What a great location too with the beach and Stony Creek reserve on the doorstep.

Great family get away house

This was the first time we'd managed to all be together as adults. Plenty of room for 4 couples and baby. On the review card I wrote about the wall in the end bedroom on the left smelling of damp or mould. But couldn't be seen.
