Ōākura is a top summer holiday destination. With a beautiful beach, great surf spots, Kaitake Golf Course, children's playgrounds, local shops and tennis courts at your doorstep what more could you want. This small village has so much to offer.

The best thing about this property is it is sunny, the house gets lots of light. The central courtyard gets the sun in the morning and the back deck gets loads of sun in the afternoon. There are lots of birds to watch so you will be able to relax on our deck and enjoy the sunsets whilst looking out to sea. There is also a trampoline and netball hoop for the kids.

There are some beautiful walk tracks around and only a 10 minute drive in to New Plymouth to make the most of the Coastal Walkway, Pukekura Park and the Brooklands Zoo. Also on in Pukekura Park is the Festival of Lights which provides a light show and entertainment most nights in Pukekura Park from mid Dec - late Jan all for free. This is such a spectacle it is not to be missed.

Although there is only one full bathroom in the house there are two toilets. There are two showers, one inside and one outside shower (hot). Cleaning charges are included in the price.

Special conditions: We have a cat which stays at the house so renters must be happy to feed the cat for us. It is our home, not a rental or bach so we ask that you treat the place with respect and care.
