The Goshen Glass Chalet

A beautiful vacation house renovated. New modern furnished decorated 1 large master bedroom 1 full size bed & 2 twin size beds & two bathrooms .One well stocked & equipped kitchen 1 large spacious combined living and a dining room with fireplace and large screened TV. A beautiful outdoor deck that sits 6 people for dining outside 1 screened in porch with a beautiful large patio with a barbecue & stunning woods view, 10minute drive to Woodridge Lake, swimming , gym ,tennis , pool & kayaking.
Not recommended for small children

Note: Rental is full property, not shared space.

A beautiful summer or winter vacation house right in the heart of the country very quiet very beautiful and very upscale wooded Lake community lots to see a lot to discover and to explore full with a lot of history and tradition

There are 4 satellite beaches around the lake.

I like to give my guests their space and their privacy.

A lot of activity in the summertime especially at the lake including hiking kayaking and biking and lots of mountains for skiing in the winter time

Lovely and relaxing stay

This is a beautiful mid century modern house! The windows in the main room are huge and really fill the room with light, and the couch is large and comfortable. The whole space was very clean, the bathrooms had everything we needed, and the office provided a nice private place to take a zoom meeting or two. Comfortable beds, a pretty three season porch, and it was a perfect relaxing retreat for two teachers looking for peace and quiet on their spring break.

Lovely spot for a weekend getaway

Went there for a weekend with a friend to hole up and relax in February and it was lovely. Listing is accurate and Cindy was very easy to communicate with. Hot tub was great!

Bright, Cozy and Spacious

I really enjoyed my stay. The home is very comfortable and inviting with beautiful design and style throughout. Love the huge windows and surrounding trees and plants. Lots of charm here. The host was very gracious and quick to respond when needed. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our weekend stay here was absolutely amazing. The house was spotless and had all the conveniences of home. The owner was quick to respond to any questions that we had. The hot tub was absolutely a selling point for us. We were so relaxed in this spacious house from the fully stocked kitchen, to the bathrobes, to the Awesome outside, screened in porch. The kids had a blast in the basement with ping pong, and the games stocked in the closet. I would love to come back in the spring and summer to experience the beauty of the neighborhood. We were there for just a short weekend for a ski trip nearby, and the Chalet’s location to the mountain as well as stores for firewood and restaurants to eat at, was totally perfect. We were highly impressed with this house and absolutely look forward to staying again, hopefully for a longer stay

Grandma's Spookcation

Wanted to visit my son in Litchfield around Halloween with my 2 teenaged granddaughters. The Goshen Glass Chalet was the perfect place for our visit. Loved every detail.

Woodridge Lake is a terrific place to vacation. The facilities are terrific and the region is incredibly scenic. We enjoyed this home that was just 5 minutes from the clubhouse/pool/beach/courts. The owner is gracious and accommodating.

Beautiful property!

Home is bright and was all decorated for Christmas when we arrived. The fireplace is gorgeous and has a huge new flatscreen TV above it. Had fun in the hot tub and with ping pong table in basement. Beds and furniture were comfy and kitchen fully equipped. Thank you Cindy for sharing your home for our annual getaway with friends!

Winter Weekend Getaway

A beautiful New England mountain home that would easily accommodate a nice sized family. Secluded enough for an anniversary trip for just 2. Any concerns or issues over the weekend were swiftly resolved through open communication with the property owners. Winter weather restricted any outdoor excursions but even still we were able to visit nearby towns to see local sites. We would definitely rent again in the future.

Hi Cindy and Simon I want to thank you for enjoying our stay at your magnificent house. It starts with the beautiful location in a peaceful place surrounded with colorful trees and natural surroundings. The house is well equipped with top brand appliances which includes all that is necessary. The glass design offers the tranquil view of the tall colorful trees and leaves. All rooms are comfortable and well designed. Definitely one of the best locations I have ever been in. I want to thank our host for their generosity and for their warm, clean and inspiring property. Renter beware

My original intent was to leave a good review with some feedback. Even with some issues I would have recommended to stay here. However, after my latest communication encounter with the owner and the shadiness of taking part of our deposit, my vantage point has changed. The house was big, comfortable and very clean except the upstairs bathroom. It looked like the cleaners forgot to clean the tub. The kitchen was fully stocked and tons of towels. However, there were a few obstacles. The stove burners didn’t work except two. The oven must be because it took twice as long to cook up some recipes so allow extra time for cooking. The propane tank ran out when BBQing dinner so we had to shift it to kitchen since we were not aware of charcoal that was available to use the other grill. The biggest issue was that the dishwasher was broken. We loaded it up before we headed to the lake for the afternoon and the dishes were not clean and there was water at the bottom. Our hunch was this may have been broken for a bit because we had to do a rinse of the dishes from the cabinet before use as they didn't seem to be fully cleaned. There were small little things and even these bigger issues didn't bother us and my review would have mentioned them but focused on all the great things. However, our last communication encounter when listing above obstacles and asking if a credit could be issued the response was that part of our deposit was being charged for "breaking house rules". This was quite upsetting because all of the accusations were false. The claims made in how the house was left were absurd and flat out lies. It was stated that the kitchen was a wreck, the hot tub cover wasn't closed, trash wasn’t taken out and cigarette butts were in the front that required 3 extra hours of cleaning. Of course we can’t prove this since we didn’t document the excellent shape we left the house in. I personally closed the hot tub cover after its last use (and we rechecked it before we left), the kitchen was spotless with all recycling and trash thrown away, every single dish was cleaned, and the only time we were even in the front was going to the car from the house to drive somewhere. Meanwhile, there were about 10 trash bags in the front/side house, which could have very well had disposed cigarettes and to be accused of that among all the other things when we spent a lot of time ensuring everything was in place. Goshen chalet

Great house easy to locate. Very clean and well stocked with essentials. The hostess was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions I had. I will stay there again when I am in Connecticut.

Cindy’s home, while generally very clean and has comfortable beds, is also very old and in desperate need of updating especially the kitchen and baths. The bath towels and bed linens smell unclean, the main bathroom sink plumbing backs up and the shower curtain is moldy. However, dealings with Cindy was much worse. Before booking Thanksgiving week I specifically asked if the spa was regularly maintained which Cindy stated yes. On our 2nd day we found the spa water cloudy, cold and with very powerful chemical odors. I adjusted the temperature and turned the jets on and within seconds the spa was full of scum and foam that covering the entire surface of the water. It is my understanding that this represents an imbalance of PH levels and/or high concentration of bacteria. I contacted Cindy who admitted the spa hasn’t been maintained in weeks and gave me instructions to change the filters, add more chemicals stored onsite and skim off the foam. Reluctantly I did so and reported back that this didn’t improve the condition of the spa. Cindy apologized and said she would send someone out to fix it. I never heard back until two days before our departure where she stated she would get someone out there on “Tuesday”, our departure day. I replied that we resolved to not using the spa and asked for a small refund for which she replied that I was not eligible for any refund and that I should use the spa as is and if I had any more questions, contact VRBO. Left property as instructed.
