Can’t beat the location and proximity to town and fishing access. Kitchen was fairly well stocked though the appliances and kitchenware need updates. There was outdoor seating but the picnic table has seen better days. Overall nice stay but would have been top shelf with some updates to kitchens, bathrooms, and a good cleaning.
We took a trip with 6 family members and had a wonderful stay. 3 bathrooms, one for each bedroom was a big plus. Short walking distance to town bars, restaurant, farmers market and the river. I agree with other reviews that you feel like you’re in your own private park when on the grounds, but only a minute walk to the town. We hope to book here again!
Convenient downtown location in quiet neighborhood. Fireplace warms it up in the morning. Easily handles 6 people comfortably. Hosts were very accommodating.
Was great, ice machine working would have been helpful, busted fan in downstairs bedroom kinda was a bummer. But the location and house was great, these were minor things.
The property was in a good location close to town. The log cabin was in need of a little more cleaning . There was a lot of cobwebs and bugs in the windowsills. The outside was covered in dust leaves and dirt. When we were sitting outside having a snack after a long day on the water the landscape crew came but with a blower with no regard to us. They could have said they were going to blow the area and given us a chance to collect our food. Even better it could have been down before we arrived.
The cabin served our purpose. It was in a perfect location to town and made it easy to walk to get dinner on the nights we were there. It definitely gives you the feeling of being in a log cabin.
It was a very cool place. Rustic, but cool. Suggestions would be...the stove is very difficukt to get to work. At one point...the buttons just stopped working. Sane for the microwave. Had to unplug that to get it to reboot. The gas bbq ran out of propane after cooking hamburgers. many of the windows dont work. Some that do dont have screen.
Thank you for the extra single bed. We moved it downstairs as it was crowded upstairs. That little sitting area was perfect.
Thank you.
We were very comfortable in this older historic home. The location was great and we were able to walk to dinner. Our kids loved the pool, and we loved the property overall. Definitely recommend! Thank you.
This is the 2nd time that we have stayed at this property. This is an older log home that has been converted to provide all the luxuries you could want! There is a 3rd bathroom that is not noted in the description, that makes this great for 3 couples. We walked uptown to shopping, restaurants, the brewery. Willies Distillery, and of course Deemos for all of your meal needs.
I can't say enough about this location. There are deer in the yard morning and evenings, a woman cares for the local stray cats; so you will see a little cat parade around 6:45 a.m. every morning. Coffee on the deck, watching deers and cats!
There is a great pool and hot tub that you share with the 2 other cabins on the property. It was not busy at all when we were there.
The hosts are some of the most attentive hosts that I have ever worked with! Do yourself a favor and book your stay. You will feel like you are in the country, but are only a 1/2 block walk to uptown!!!
A really interesting and historic property. Much better shape this year than last year.
Worked well for our family and some friends who joined us for pre-planned meals or take out. A good place to avoid restaurants during COVID. A bit short on some amenities such as serving bowls.
Really nice place!! Very clean, excellent location, beautiful property in old cottonwoods. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained. I believe it is listed as two bathrooms but has three full sized bathrooms!!
Wonderful setting that makes you feel in the country, yet the property is downtown. Very nice cleanliness and furniture. Could use a few more common utensils.
