We’ve stayed here a couple times and really like it. Location is great. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The decor is tasteful. The front porch of the two lower units is really nice to hang out on.
We loved the Suite #3 at LaPointe lodging!
Quiet and very clean! Perfect location for Us to walk to all nearby restaurants and Beach!
Our Host Mike was amazing and we will definetly stay here again!
I attended a workshop at the Madeline Island School of the Arts. The school itself had sold out of its rooms on their property so I needed to look for my own accommodations. The Suite Three at La Pointe Lodging was just perfect, only one block from the ferry and a quick 1-1/2 mile drive to the Madeline Island School. The room was bright, clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable. My experience could not have been better.
Property was smaller than I anticipated, no closet, but worked well for a two night stay. We were not inside except at night. Overall very clean and nice!

The location is great. Close to ferry and shops. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Check out procedures require the guest to separate towels and bedding in proper piles to avoid additional charges. We already paid a premium price for what is basically a bedroom, you could at least do your own housekeeping.
The room was new, clean and well decorated. There was no closet, no drawers, no ice. Directions in the room said to wash the dishes, strip the bed and separate the sheets and blankets. This seems unreasonable considering the high “host” costs added to the room rate. There was also a tip envelope. Since there was no daily room service, this should not be expected. The owners should pay their staff what they deserve.
Excellent location near the ferry for convenience. Walking distance to a few bars and restaurants. If you like coffee and company check out Mission Hills Coffee and Marie the owner.
Accommodations were just what we needed. Very clean and updated one room.
Perfect place to stay for two. It had everything thing we needed except maybe a grab bar in the shower. Hope it’s available the next time we visit Madeline Island.
This was our first time on Madeline island and this couldn’t have been a more perfect property for us. A quaint little one bedroom (super comfy king bed) with a little porch overlooking the lake (with a road in between). 1 minute walk to the ferry and everything downtown. Very clean, great contact with the host- would highly recommend to anyone!
This is a simple and comfortable suite, with all the basic amenities a person would need. The staff was available whenever I needed to ask a question, and the only thing that I could complain about was the flies, but that's nothing the establishment could control. I would stay again.
Our place of visit was simple and clean with no frills which is exactly what we were looking for. The hosts were very friendly and responsive to our request. We loved it's location - walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, beach and pubs.
We had a good stay, 3 nights. Easy, convenient , comfortable, clean and quiet. The porch might benefit from an awning for afternoon sitting. Sun is intense but it really dried the towels. I would return for another visit.
What a clean and perfect location! We loved our time on the porch watching the water and the locals/travelers walk/scooter/bike by. We hope to be back!!! Definitely recommend.
