OLD TIMBERLINE - 



A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area.







You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards.

Mid-summer escape

The deck and hot tub were lovely. Now that the summers are hotter, not having AC is a bit of an issue in early evening, but not a deal breaker.

The house was great! We really appreciated that the beds were all made when we arrived and that there was plenty of flatware/plates/etc. Great deck, though we couldn't get the hot tub to heat up. Would definitely stay there again.

Great long weekend

Check in was quick and easy. Everything was ready when we got there. The upstairs toilet sounds like it is going to take off but it worked. We loved sitting on the deck and seen a few deerbut no bear. May need deck re placed soon as well as picnic table. Grandsons wanted things to do beside TV but enjoyed playing cards in the evening. None of the items I mentioned kept us from having a great time. Would stay there again

We had a wonderful 3 1/2 days in the woods in your cabin. Everyone loved the site, and the fact that distractions were fairly far away meant that we had the opportunity to actually spend time on our writing. The deck was a perfect place to write - just enough sun and shade, beautiful surroundings, and solitude. They were very helpful and personable.

Our first rental with Vrbo. On the negative side… The pictures were professional and make the property look better than reality. The deck and steps are worn, warped and in need of paint. The picnic table has holes and is growing moss. The steps up to the main level are narrow and the hand railing doesn’t go all the way up making it more challenging for seniors. The BBQ grill grill is badly rusted. There were only two partial rolls of TP for our eleven people, and we couldn’t find any laundry soap to do the “required” first batch of towels when we checked out. The driveway is challenging, sharp turn in and steep. On the Positive side! The kitchen appliances worked well, plenty of hot water, the beds were adequate, The TV worked well and easily hooked up to IPads wirelessly, and the wi-Fi worked well. There were plenty of towels, the Hot-tub was enjoyable and clean and all the windows and fans worked well. Overall, my family had an enjoyable time.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy a much needed peaceful and relaxing getaway. This cabin is beautiful, with wonderful furniture pieces and deco throughout. We loved the beautiful deck and hot tub,and the amazing living area with all the windows. We loved how safe and pet friendly the deck was for our dogs. We have rented cabins there 3 different times and this cabin is by far our favorite! We are going to come back here as soon as we can. What a wonderful experience we had! This place was magical! We loved everything about this cabin esp. the deck with the hottub and the living and kitchen areas and all those windows! The bathrooms were very pretty and we loved the huge dining table. We enjoyed eating at the picnic table as well The staff were extremely kind and welcoming.
