Buck`s Branch - 123 Aspen Knoll Road Buck`s Branch - Air Conditioning, Fire Pit, Short Drive to Two Ski Areas & Two State Parks

Come enjoy Canaan Valley at Buck's Branch, located at the edge of the Monagahela National Forest.   The valley has so much to offer. Choose your own adventure for skiing, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, or simply relax at the cabin. With the forest steps from our door, you can hike through the forest to a beaver dam, play games on the large lawn, stargaze in the evening, or simply relax in the hot tub!







This spacious home has 4 bedrooms each with an on-suite bathroom. The 1st floor has two bedrooms with king beds. The second floor has a queen bed, a kids room with one pyramid bunk bed and futon, and a loft with a futon bed. Every bedroom has a TV.  There is a large ski entrance for all your outdoor gear. Four wheel drive / AWD is recommended in the wintertime to climb up the street. Come enjoy all that Canaan Valley has to offer!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cabin.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Large enough for everyone but still private and warm. It is close enough to tourist areas yet far enough away to just enjoy the mountain air. There was plenty of room for everyone to have privacy and downtime but the living and dining areas were large enough for everyone to group. The kitchen was very well stocked. The staff at Mountaintop was very friendly and helpful.

We were truly happy with our girls trip getaway weekend and look forward to visiting again soon! The open floor plan was awesome. We loved having four big bedrooms each with individual bathrooms. The wrap around deck was nice since you could always find a place that was in the shade.

They love to be outside and having shade on the deck and in the yard was great. Any questions that we had either by phone or email were answered promptly.

The property was spacious, bright, and well-equipped with kitchen utensils. The parking area was sufficient for multiple vehicles and the location and access road were good. The beds and furniture were comfortable. There is some deferred maintenance that should be addressed (peeling ceiling, dirty bathroom ventilation, etc) but nothing major.

The house was great - really liked that each bedroom had it's own bath. The outside area, large yard was excellent. We had some great discussions around the fire pit each night as well as games of badminton, Frisbee and freeze tag. We are a family that cooks family meals - the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Your people were fantastic. We called about the hot tub and it was taken care of the next day. The gentleman that came was very courteous and friendly. Office stay were also very welcoming and friendly.

Most of the dishes were dirty. Maybe the dishwasher isn’t super efficient, but I cleaned everything before using it. I also think the jacuzzi tub could use a good cleaning. When I turned the jets on, a ton of dirt came out. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the location and the cabin. It was beautiful and I’d stay there again sometime!

We loved the cabin but I did have a couple of issues to discuss. First, the $50 non-refundable damage insurance fee was not listed on the “additional fees” section on homeaway.com (where I booked). I think that should be added so others aren’t confronted with fees they weren’t expecting. Our cabin was very well cleaned (beds, toilets, etc). But the issue was that it smelled heavily of cats and that bothered multiple people in our groups allergies. Overall, we loved the cabin. But sadly could never return based on the allergic reactions. Everything was smooth

This was our second stay at this property.

This was our second stay at this property. We plan on staying again. It is close to town and to Canaan Valley. It is nice to have a convenience store two minutes away so you do not need to drive into town if you need something. We appreciate that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with basic pantry items as well as most pots, pans, utensils and just about anything you would need to make a meal. There are plenty of plates and silverware so we only had to run the dishwasher every other day. Overall the house was really clean- the kitchen, the bathrooms. The big yard is great. The big windows are great. We really like the skier entry. We crate our dogs in there if they do not go with us. We did not build a fire this time, but we appreciate that there is always ample firewood stocked. We have really enjoyed our stays here. We hope to stay again sooner than later. Your team members were very easy to work with. They made sure I had everything I needed. Check in and check out were easy.

Beautiful House

Loved the great room in this house, it was so bright and had a large deck that overlooked the yard. We were vacationing with our grandchildren who are 7 and 4 years old. There was a foosball table and plenty of games, books and other activities for them to enjoy while we were relaxing at the house. The house was very clean and was well stocked in the kitchen and the bathrooms. There were plenty of pans, dishes, and several small appliances ( crockpot, griddle, and other appliances) that you could cook virtually anything you wanted in this kitchen. There was more than enough towels, and linens to last for our visit. I would definitely stay in this house again if we were visiting in the Davis area.
