*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our homeowners Assoc., The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.

This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may not be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance. Our guests' safety is of the utmost concern for us. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

You can stay updated on our ocean front access by viewing our web page, rkmaui(dot)com, and checking the postings on the homepage. We update the postings as soon as we receive new information from the resort.

Great stay

This was a great place to spend our vacation! We loved having a great view and a place to cook as well! It was a great location, we felt safe and the people working there were really friendly! The pool was refreshing and I loved having beach access. Thanks for a great stay!

Royal Kahana

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Kahana. We had a couple of items that needed some attention by the owners of the condo but they were very accessible and responded right away. Overall RK is ideally located with great access to sun and sand with some spectacular sunsets and in the quieter Kahana area while still close to a ton of amenities. Wonderful Studio with Amazing Views

This is an awesome vacation stay for a couple. We enjoyed the breathtaking views that are actually much better than the pictures in the listing. The studio was comfortable and came equipped with everything we needed to relax and enjoy Maui. The beach chairs were an added bonus! We would love to return!

My husband Dan and I manage homes at the Royal Kahana. Royal Kahana #1019 is actually owned by friends of ours, Fred and Ronnie. Fred and Ronnie have owned homes on Maui for years. We love the Royal Kahana, the sense of family, the many amenities and the way all our guests feel welcome and like part of the family.

Room was perfect for us, excellent view of the ocean and pool (not noisey at all). Could see the sunset from the lanai but the sun did not glare into the unit. Kitchen was small but workable, plenty of dishes and bowls. Owner was good to work with and allowed a early check in as we were coming from a different property and had frozen and refrigerated items that needed to stay cold. We will definitely stay here again next year.

Beautiful view! Beautiful beach!
The Resort was even better in person. The view was beautiful and everything worked great for my husband, two boys and I. The sun shines on the balcony in the afternoon and that's when we would have a beer and enjoy the view and maybe doze off a bit. Views of the beach and sunset were wonderful and lots of rainbows. The room came well equipped,except for laundry detergent which we had to go get after already going to the store, so don't forget that in your shopping list.
