About this property

Cottage at the Bon Echo Family Campground

This cottage is located within a small family campground five minutes drive from Bon Echo Provincial Park. The cottage, beach and entire campground is child friendly. Parents can watch their children walk to the beach only steps away from the cottage.

The land is mainly wooded and sits on a small, quiet lake. Perfect for day trips into the Provincial Park, or you can spend your days barbecuing and laying on the sand beach of Little Marble Lake. Located in the center of the campground and close to the shore, it boasts two bedrooms, a huge kitchen, living room, sunroom, and a 3 piece washroom. Wake up each morning to the call of the loons and a view of the lake. And best of all, you're only steps away from the beach.

Fully furnished, Bon Echo Cottage comes with fridge, stove, microwave, TV, wi-fi, pots & pans. All you have to do is bring your own pillows, bed linen, towels and toiletries.

Great for kids
Being a campground/trailer park community It is safe and wonderful for kids. The playground and the sandy beach are wins. The cottage itself is old and musty. It is clean. Don’t forget to pack all of your linens, pillows and blankets.

Great, easy family cottage spot
This is a simple cottage, exactly as described. This is a family campground with lots of kids around. Great for young kids to find a friend and to play at the beach, or bike around. Take the canoe or peddleboat out with the kids, go fishing or swim. Not noisy.

About the host

Ralph Gentile—Owner

Ralph’s story is the closest you’re going to get to that old TV series “Green Acres” where Eddie Albert and Zsa Zsa Gabor move from Manhattan to a farm. A down town Toronto stock-trader, city slicker Ralph decided he wanted a quieter place in which to raise a family.

In 1975 he bought a small farm south of Napanee and moved his family with him. Since that time he has owned numerous businesses, started the Music By the River annual festival where Avril Lavigne once appeared, was President of the local Optimists Club, was instrumental in the Napanee Pavilion being built, as well as numerous other festivals and events. In 2006 Ralph was declared “Greater Napanee Citizen of the Year.”

Always friendly and willing to help, being a campground owner is a perfect role for Ralph, where he strives to ensure all visitors have a fun, enjoyable, and relaxing experience. Ralph can normally be found puttering around at the campground on weekends.

Why they chose this property

Spacious cottage, big eat-in kitchen, well-stocked, full sized fridge and stove, in a smaller sized campground with friendly people and children, close to Bon Echo Provincial Park.

What makes this property unique

Steps from the beach.
Beach is shallow so great for small kids.
Children on the beach and in the water visible from cottage.
Cottage is in the middle of a campground so good for people who like the sounds of other friendly people around and other children for their children to play with.
Children can bike around in the campground with safety without having to go out on the roads.
