A Country Lodge Straight Out of the Pages of a Great Novel
The Lodge
Imagine a country lodge straight out of the pages of a great novel. Rustic chic combines with modern amenities in The Lodge, where vaulted ceilings, hunting trophies, and glowing wood floors convey warmth, luxury, and a sense of rural history.
The outdoorsy visitor will feel at home amidst the elk heads and bear skins, and anyone fond of elegant country life will savor the beauty of The Lodge. Set on 700 acres of woods, farmland patchwork, and meadows, with views to the mountains, The Lodge puts its guests within easy distance of skiing, hiking, and fishing, as well as museums, historic sites, and fine restaurants.
The Hudson Valley boasts one of the longest fall foliage seasons in the country. The autumn colors paint the entire valley with rich warmth from September deep into October. When the winter snows fall across the landscape, take out your snowshoes and experience the drifting silence of the woods under its white mantle.
This gorgeous home is wrapped around by a wooden deck offering matchless views. A bluestone patio and other cunning outdoor spots to relax and absorb the sounds and smells of nature make the Lodge as gratifyingly comfortable outside as it is inside. Sit under the wisteria-draped pergola to watch the sun go down or gather around the massive firepit to while away the long summer evenings.
The Lodge’s interior lacks nothing in convenience and luxury. An exquisite kitchen has every amenity and thoughtful detail, including marble countertops, a double side-by-side freezer/refrigerator (each full-size), a plumbed stove, and warming oven. In the great room, enjoy a roaring fire in the stone fireplace and relax on long winter evenings.
The main floor master en suite bedroom opens to the outdoors and western views of the distant Catskills. The bathroom is sky-lit, with a freeform shower, full tub, and flawless tile detailing. Three additional bedrooms downstairs all include televisions, and are tasteful, welcoming, and comfortable.
The Lodge is a flawless retreat for families and friends in any season, offering easy access to culture, history, fine dining, and countless activities in one of the most sought-after vacation spots on the east coast.

Our group of parents and riders had a great stay during the Millbrook Horse Trials in July. Clean facility, ample room, responsive host. Would stay again.

Thanks so much Hessie! We appreciate you visit and the great care you took of the house.
We look forward to hosting you again sometime!
Lovely home. Beautiful views of the surrounding area. Very homey. Comforable.. Very convenient to the wedding venue (Stissing Restaurant). I confess that the extensive taxidermy collection was a bit more pronounced than shown in the pictures, but we got used to it and then it was part of the charm.
Our group spent the weekend in Dutchess County to celebrate an upcoming wedding. This home was the perfect location for our group - clean, spacious and inviting on the inside, with great views and ample outdoor space to enjoy fall in New York. The host was accessible and easy to communicate with, and the home provided all that we needed four our stat. It is located close to town for supplies and dinner, but with plenty of privacy for peace and quiet. A great time was had by all!
We had a fantastic time staying in Mary's home. The house is spacious, clean, and bright, with a beautiful view and lovely outdoor space. Mary was communicative and very helpful -- our stay was perfectly smooth, but I have no doubt that if there had been any issue, she would have helped us resolve it promptly. Check in and check out were both easy and the Hudson Valley is as beautiful as ever. We were very happy with this house and highly recommend it.
My family stayed at Mary's home for a long weekend with 3 other families. The home is even more beautiful and spacious than in the pictures! We were a group of 8 adults and a few toddlers/infants, and the common space was plenty big enough for everyone to relax and play. Each family had their own room, which was also enough space for a long weekend.
The kitchen is wonderful, and is well appointed with everything a cook would need, along with a few extras like kid's plates/utensils and 2 coffee makers (a keurig and regular pot brewer). We cooked in all 3 nights and had wonderful dinners in the gorgeous dining room.
The setting was gorgeous, and super private which our dog loved! He was able to roam around under our supervision, without having to worry about bothering neighbors or fear of cars/traffic. The kids loved walking around the decks and long driveway for some fresh air.
An added bonus was having a dedicated laundry/mud room in the back!
The Lodge is a very nice, comfortable, peaceful and secluded property with beautiful views of fields and mountains. For us it was a little piece of heaven. Many thanks to the Boyles for being such great hosts!
