The Apartment House Meeresblick (formerly the Kurhaus Arendsee) was built in the Art Nouveau of the 1920s with the typical decorative elements such as linear and floral ornamentation, wood-clad balconies and connecting window arches. Surrounded by a historic facade, the building exudes a timeless harmony.
It is located on the car-free Baltic Square and directly on the beach.
From our cozy apartment with large and bright windows, you can enjoy the view of the sea, the beautiful nature and the stylish surroundings. You will find an underground car park in the building next to a green atrium, from which a glass elevator takes you to the floor of the apartment. Storage facilities for bicycles and coin-operated washing machines and dryers are also available.
From spring 2013 you can also book our new apartment on Rügen / Baabe in a direct beach location with panoramic lake views and wellness area / swimming pool / underground car park.(Obj. No. 2026296)
Location and surroundings: The Baltic Sea resort is surrounded by hilly fields, cooling, meadows and extensive forest, on the Mecklenburg Bay. Between Kühlungsborn-West (formerly Arendsee), the sophisticated part of the town, and Kühlungsborn-Ost (formerly Brunshaupten), the busy part of the town, lies the much-used 130-hectare city forest. On both sides of the newly designed car-free Baltic course, a total of 5 kilometers long, extremely wide and well-maintained white sandy beach beckons. Alternating rest areas with loosely placed beach chairs and active areas with a wide range of sports and play options characterize the picture.
History: The city has been April 1938, after the amalgamation of the villages of Ahrendsee, Brunshaupten and Fulgen, based on the up to 130 m high moraine range south of the city called cooling, the new place name Kühlungsborn. In the years between 1880 and 1914, the structure of the resort, which still exists today, was shaped, the style known as spa architecture can be found everywhere in the city. Many lovingly restored hotels, pensions and villas date from this period and adorn Kühlungsborn and the 3 km long beach promenade. Bathing took place here during the imperial era, and there was a men's and a women's bathing establishment right on the beach. Only later was a family pool built between the two. The first bathing brochure was published here in 1877.
Attractions in town and surroundings: The narrow-gauge railway 'Molli', Germany's oldest small railway from 1886, has been running between Kühlungsborn and Bad Doberan since 1910. Attractions include the associated museum cafe and small railway museum. The bath express runs in summer on a 14 km circuit through the town. Excursion boats sail from the pier to the neighboring seaside resorts. There are two concert gardens with various events. Since 2002, the marina has been inviting you to stroll with boutiques and maritime restaurants. Water sports (sailing, motor boat, water skiing, etc.) are available
