Enjoy the view while having coffee or cocktails on the outdoor deck. Inside, the kitchen overlooks the dining/living room area which features a warm wood burning fireplace and fantastic views of the mountain and trees as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you will need to cook a meal. The two bedrooms sleep up to 5 people comfortably. The first bedroom features a queen bed and a twin bed. The second bedroom features a king bed. Both bedrooms have their own full bathroom with tub and shower. There is a large entry way/mud room where you can kick off your shoes as you start to unwind after a long day of adventuring. A storage locker located on the first floor provides a convenient place to store all of your gear which makes it very easy to grab and go in the morning and then deposit all of your things at day's end. Full WiFi throughout. Hi-def smart TV in the living room. Air conditioning in the summer.
This is a perfect property as a home base for HITS or for anybody who wants an outdoor adventure. The condo is located directly next to the fitness center (easy to walk to) which features a pool, sauna, indoor and outdoor tennis, yoga, massage, full gym, and complimentary coffee and tea. For an extra daily fee ($25)or per class fee (check with the fitness center) you can enjoy all the amenities there including the indoor heated pool. There are tennis instructors on hand to book private or semi private lessons. There are Kids' tennis camps all summer that run the whole day leaving you free to explore or play tennis on your own (also lots of adult tennis camps). The Fitness center has a small pro shop for any gear you may neeed. Make sure you check out the Stratton website to find out what is going on and what is offered during your visit. Located near the Appalachian Trail, Long Trail, and Catamount Trail, Close proximity to 4 ski mountains (Stratton, Bromley, Mt. Snow, and Magic), and within a 20 minute drive to Manchester, Vermont, this condo is a great home base for all things adventure.
Other nearby attractions include The Stratton Snowmaking pond! There is a long walking trail around it with sweeping views of Stratton Mountain. It is a great place to walk or run and definitely to swim! Manchester is known for it's outlet shopping so this can be nice for a day you do not plan to venture out or if it is rainy. Also located in Manchester is Hildene, an historic house occupied by the Lincoln family at one time. Call for a tour of the home or just walk around. Enjoy Manchester's museums and art galleries as well. The town of Wilmington, Vermont is about a half hour drive and offers a quaint shopping village, bowling, and the Southern VT Natural History Museum. There are also various rural farms worth visiting and other quaint small Vermont towns nearby. For example, a short drive away in Peru, VT (where the 80s movie "Baby Boom" was filmed) you will find Wild Wings which offers fireside yoga in a beautiful country setting along with JJ Hapgood, a quaint general store and eatery.
Venture to Rawsonville (10 minute drive) and hit up the restaurants Family Kitchen or, across the street, Honeypie. There is also a coffee shop and a beer shop, a convenience store, and several sporting goods shops.
The village of Stratton has several very good restaurants, bars, high end shopping, and a general store. Also, just a short, 5 minute ride away in the town of Bondville, is a larger general store, several sport shops, a hardware store, 2 restaurants, and a 7-Eleven where you can purchase gas, wine, and beer. There are kayak rentals available in Bondville and in Stratton Village. Visit the Bondville community art center and pick up a schedule of events being held there. There are family art nights as well as other art and community events. (located right next to the hardware store)
Come and enjoy this beautiful, adventure filled, fresh air get away in the mountains!

About the host
Hosted by Kristin Pirie

I moved from Los Angeles to Vermont to enjoy a different way of life. I love all that Vermont has to offer and I'm sure you will too! In addition to being a licenced Vermont Reator and Stager, I own several rental properties, each one lovingly prepared for your stay. Welcome!
Why they chose this property
I love the mountains and the skiing. I also love this area in the spring summer and fall. There is never a dull moment when you are out in nature. I also love cozy surroundings and I have created that for your stay. If you walk out the front door of the condo and around to the back of the building you will find a trail that leads right to the village. There is also a little trail through the woods to the tennis courts! Vantage point is a quiet neighborhood of condos located on a dead end road. It feels like a world away but is so close to all the mountain has to offer.
What makes this property unique
Mountain Views, Skiing, horse show, tennis, cross country, golf, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, nature, Fall foliage, winter activities, shopping, gym, country fresh air, peace and quiet.
