Great Gathering Spot

We came to Plain for annual cross country ski/snowshoe weekend with friends. The home was comfortable, had all the supplies/dishes we anticipated, and was convenient to our recreation locations. Common area made for easy visiting. Looks like summer visits would be great too with outdoor seating, access to Chiwawa River and BBQing options.

mid winter break

the cabin is amazing, having stayed here once before. we found the cabin once again amazing. the cabin is roomy and spacious yet has a very cozy feel. we had a fantastic time. the only downside was having to leave. we will definitely be back.

We spent 2 nights and everything was great. My wife didn't want to leave. We spent a lot of time on the deck just watching the river. Everything we needed was available. No stress, no worries. We had a wonderful time.

Wonderful cabin in a secluded and quiet spot that has an amazing view of the river. Cabin was super clean with wonderfully shared amenities by the owner. We loved the overall house/cabin structure - the only small critique would be too many nick nacks and over decorating...otherwise a wonderful experience! Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the "Go Away" cabin. It was secluded and quiet with only the river's noise in the background. We liked the cabin's look and feel overall but it would have been better with less or smaller furniture and fewer furnishings. It felt a bit small with just the two of us.

The house was the perfect weekend retreat for our family spanning three generations. It was cozy while still having adequate dining and gathering space. The creek in then back of the house was a great hit. Wonderfull walks and hikes, and nearby lakes for boating. My complaints are cheap toilet paper and heavily perfumed sheets.

We had our first white Christmas! Amazing little cabin! I would recommend stocking up on general items (garbage bags, tp, etc.) Luckily there was a store relatively close to get those needed items!

We loved the cabin and enjoyed the location. Although the neighbors were close, the trees blocked the view. We loved the furnishings. Small issue, couldn’t get the television to work for Netflix and Amazon. Disappointed we missed an NFL game on Thursday night.

Amazing get away for the whole family!

My family and I stayed at this cabin and it was absolutely amazing! Beautiful and comfortable great for all ages! My kids had a great time playing at the river, and on the deck! So nice to have such a fully equipped house so we didn't have to worry about a thing! With 3 little kids (all under 5), we don't feel like we get a vacation even when we go on vacation, but here we did! It was peaceful, relaxing, but still fun with lots to do so the kids weren't bored, but the parents weren't stressed! We look forward to coming time and time again! Great owners as well...very quick communication and very easy to work with! Thank you thank you thank you for such a great weekend away!

Our grandchildren have grown up playing on the river, sledding the incredible sledding hill we have, playing games with the glow of the fireplace behind them. The best of the best of our memories are all wrapped around our cabin! We are so happy to share this with such wonderful people. Remember, there is still lots of fun things to do, fishing is spectacular, in our many lakes and rivers, out the front door and you can cross country ski, snowmobile, and make wonderful snow forts in the winter, walk or ride bikes on our nice private roads. Raft or kayak our rivers all summer long.

Great Getaway!

What a wonderful home in a beautiful setting! The western themed décor is an experience in itself. Combine that with the soothing rush of the Chiwawa River and you have a relaxing getaway. This home has all the conveniences of a well equipped kitchen...just bring your food. The beds are very comfortable with premium linens. It is VERY clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The large, flat, open area down by the river is perfect for volleyball, badminton, Frisbees or just making your own fun. It's a perfect place for families. Linda promptly answered our questions and made sure our stay was an enjoyable one. We hope to "Go Away" again soon!

The cowboy and Indian theme has been so much fun to do, it has taken us years of collecting to gather all the fun things you will see in the cabin. My husband was a calf roper in Jr rodeo's when he was a child, so the cowboy theme comes from that, the Indian theme just had to go along to make it fun. It tickles us to hear how much every one enjoys this, Glad you got to experience the fun. Hope to have you around our camp fire again one day.

Beautiful cabin. Stunning location. I’m sure when it snows and how much is different for each guest, but we had so much and that’s what we had hoped for. The view from the back is incredible! We had a small family wedding ceremony off the back deck and it was magical. Close enough to Leavenworth to go back and forth easily. We all had a great weekend there!! We would come back again and again. Plain is charming! One small note, the master bed blankets and pillows could use an update,

Poorly Appointed - would not recommend.

Property is not as described. Poorly appointed. Dishes in cabinets had dried food on them. Pots and pans had food on them. Described as remote but neighbors on both sides less than 500 ft. Not recommended for persons with disabilities. No space in kitchen to put dried food or kitchen items. The rental was lived in and had every cabinet, drawer and closet lived in. No guest area for temporary storage. I would not recommend.

Great Holiday

My family and I (husband, myself, and our 3 kids) like to stay in or near Leavenworth for thanksgiving every year. We’ve stayed in a handful of cabins. This one being the most expensive so far. We overall enjoyed our stay here and we’re pleased there was some snow for the kids to play in. Beds were comfortable and cabin is super cute. Some negatives were lack of toiletries, we had to go out and buy body wash. The stuff provided was either old or very low amount or simply was hand soap. First time I’ve seen that… the horse lamp in the downstairs bathroom got VERY hot. I’m talking several hundred degrees and my 5 year old touched it and burned his fingers. Definite hazard. The aggressive and rude signed throughout the cabin definitely made us feel somewhat like a burden/unwelcome. My suggestion is always show kindness and assume people aren’t there to destroy your rental. Rewording of most those signs could deliver the same message and not be so aggressive feeling. Customer service has gone out the window… the checkin process was strange, I had to call evolve and have them send me an email with the check in info. I received nothing thru the app or prior to me calling the morning of our arrival. Glad I called…. All rentals we have ever stayed in have had games and even some toys for kiddos to enjoy. My little were pretty bummed when there was nothing but Tv to entertain them. It’s obviously not a requirement, but when most do it, it almost becomes expected. Lesson learned on our part there. Overall, we had a good time. But would seek out a closer location next time that maybe provides more amenities for the cost.

Great short getaway for a single lady

The experience overall was great. Enjoyed the private walk down to the river and the fall colors. It was a bit smoky due to wildfires so definitely didn't get the chance to enjoy the fresh air. The sound of the river put me to sleep every night. It was also a little bit noisy due to a couple of men working on a shed at the cabin on the left. The manager was accommodating and was very helpful. She allowed me to check in early, which I really appreciated. Overall, a good short getaway.

We had a great time, the decor and location are fantastic. It was hot in the area the ac worked great, beds were super comfortable and don’t let the bunk beds fool you, I don’t think there was such things as queen bunk beds. Will definitely try and stay at this property again!

Stunning View of Chiwawa River

This home is nestled amid tall evergreens above the Chiwawa River. During our stay in August, I was pleasantly surprised by how healthy and green everything was. The house itself was warm, welcoming, spacious, and comfortable. By putting a great deal of thought and care into furnishings and decor, the owners have created fun and interesting indoor spaces. The views from the house and the deck were stunning! A bonus: The air conditioning kept us cool and comfortable in spite of the warm weather outside. River access: A wide path led from the house area down to the river. The path was stair stepped and easy to walk on. (It was comparable to walking up and down a flight of stairs.) We enjoyed using the open space next to the river to play frisbee; it was a great outdoor space for our family to hang out in. This property seemed well maintained. My family and I enjoyed staying in this wonderful home!

Cozy and quiet

We took a triple birthday trip instead of gifts. We all decided a trip away from responsibility would be a great gift. The check in and out was super easy. We were able to rent a boat from fish lake and do some fishing, took a trip to leavenworth and stopped at the alps candy store. The home was all set up to just relax the only noise was the steady flowing river. Unfortunately the upstairs bathtub was out of commission but other then that it was amazing!! We can't wait to go back.

Getaway for my mom's 84th birthday

I highly recommend this listing to families who are looking for a unique, quiet, peaceful getaway in the middle of nature. Truly a beautiful property! Loved the cowboy decor and the riverfront setting was stunning!
