If your an early riser you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the glass paneled deck overlooking the lake ,mountain views as far as your eye can see and at night you can watch some amazing sunsets from the balcony on the other side of the house.If your into star gazing the stars are unbelievable.Guests can cook in, out on the grill or out on the town at a number of local eating establishments. The home sleeps 8 adults comfortably with three bedrooms with queen beds. The living room and common areas are furnished with comfortable leather sofas, chairs, with a table, end tables and a television for the guests viewing pleasure.The glass railed deck has a fire pit and chairs for guests to sit and take in the breathtaking view after boating, swimming, sailing, hiking, running, skiing, sightseeing or shopping. A short ride away from Gunstock Mountain with year round activities and Gilford beach for fun at the lake. There's something for everyone!

Great Lake Winnipeasaukee House

FABULOUS property for our family of 5 - plenty of space for everyone without being on top of each other constantly. Easy access to many different attractions, restaurants, etc. Absolutely beautiful sunrises from the deck. And of course, as many have said, Sean is wonderful with communication and making sure the trip is great.

Amazing views Awesome host and everything stated in listing is accurate.

Perfect Location

Amazing long weekend

Amazing views!

The house exceeded our expectations. You get amazing sunrises in the morning coming over the lake and great sunsets behind Gunstock. Sean is a great host, came over to make sure we were all set and gave us a tour of the house. Perfect location to the mountain, and a stunning view of the lake. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Summer Vacation

This house met and exceeded our expectations! As most others have noted, Sean is a gracious host and the views are absolutely spectacular. In addition, the house is ideally located. There are nearby beaches, hiking trails, several mini golf courses, a movie theatre for rainy days, an outlet center and good local restaurants. I would definitely recommend renting this house!

Beautiful Views of Lake

My family stayed two nights for a wedding at Gunstock Mountain Resort. We selected this home due to beautiful lake views, view of Gunstock Mountain, billiard table, and convenience of five minute distance from resort. We were very happy with our stay. Home was clean and views of lake were amazing as advertised. Sean was kind and replied quickly to inquiries and made sure home lights were on since we were arriving late on Friday. Highly recommend this home for anyone interested in vacationing at any time of year due to cleanliness, proximity to resort and the lake and available gas fire pit and billiard table for family fun.

Family ski trip

We had a lovely stay the house with a view of the lake. The house was clean, which is very important to me. It has a pool table and my kids (ages 20 & 22) loved that. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and we skied at Gunstock which was nice and close. We made our own breakfast/coffee every morning. There’s a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. The weather wasn’t great, but we made the best of it. We went skiing a little later one day, night skiing one night and went to fun spot for games one day. It was a nice family getaway. Sean was a great host.

Gunstock Mt Wedding

We rented the house to attend a family friend's wedding at Gunstock Mt. in July. The close proximity to the mountain and the incredible views were what drew us to this rental. The two living rooms allow for separate areas to hang out to watch TV and relax. The home easily accommodated our family of 6 adults and our 3 year old granddaughter. The views were fantastic, the house was clean and the home contained everything you could possibly need. The great deck with the gas firepit was a great area for the family to gather. Sean, the owner, was very accommodating and responsive should you have any questions/ unexpected needs. We will definitely consider this rental again as the views of the lake and mountains during the fall must be spectacular.

An Instant Favorite

We stayed here during the 4th of July week and it was great right from the start. Sean met us as soon as we arrived and gave us a tour of the place. First impressions told me that he is good people. We had a couple of minor hiccups during our stay but Sean was easy to get a hold of and he took care of things promptly. The home itself was in immaculate condition. The view of the lake definitely has that Wow factor even on the lone rainy day that we had. A great location for privacy but close enough to go out and have some day trip fun. Restaurants, beaches, stores and Gunstock Mountain were all a short drive away. I could go on and on but I would just be repeating all of the great things other reviews have mentioned about Sean and the home. Just know that they are 100% true. Do yourself a favor and rent this place. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Not a better view around - Incredible views of Lake Winepesaukke and Rattlesnake Island......

Stayed here with the wife and family for the 4th of July....Incredible views from the deck overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee and Rattle Snake Island. Cool glass panels on deck preventing any obstruction from view... Amazing watching the Sunrise in the AM coming over the mountains....I couldn't believe the Fire Works display that was put on for the 4th...The view was amazing as you could see fireworks from all around the lake..Fireworks ended around 10:00pm which was perfect....Furniture is all new and modern , comfortable beds, very clean and updated.....I plan on returning in the winter to take the kids to Gunstock for tubing...Can actually see the slopes from the front side of the house which is cool. You really cant beat it - On the back side you have breathtaking views of the lake and on the front side you have views of Gunstock Resort...If I didn't have to work for a living , I would live here year round....Very enjoyable stay......Will be back for more....

Views and then some

Sean’s home met all our expectations. We choose rentals for the view and it was marvelous. The house is well maintained, clean, spacious and an abundance of windows made for a bright interior. The beds are comfortable and there’s a first floor bedroom if stairs are a challenge. (altho there are stairs to enter from the driveway). Sean is personable, greeted us on arrival and even helped us carry items. The kitchen is spacious enough for several people to work at once. Most of the week was hot, so we were grateful for the AC, quality shades, ceiling and portable fans. When it cooled, we opened windows and got a refreshing breeze off the ridge. There’s outside seating for both taller & shorter folks and the glass panels create a feeling of open air. With balconies on opposite sides, we could sit outside in sun or shade. The back faces east so it was nice to enjoy the view in shade on hot afternoons and sit out front in the morning. We chose to stay close and enjoy the view with family and friends but we’re familiar with the area and many summer activities nearby. We’ve previously enjoyed: Pine Mountain, Lock Hill, Belknap Mountain (all good views for little effort and less crowded than Mount Major). Ellacoya State park has great swimming, the scenic chairlift & mountain coaster at Gunstock are fun and there’s a zip line for the brave. We’re glad we chose this home and would like to stay again.

I started coming to the Gilford area with my family in 2010 and enjoyed it so much that we purchased our vacation home in 2012.In 2014 I had the opportunity to purchase a second home and ran with it so others could enjoy what we enjoy. The main reason I enjoy coming up to Winnipesaukee is the way it recharges my battery whether it be for one week or just a couples days. I go back to work refreshed and ready for the week.

Why they chose this property

I chose this property because of the amazing views it has and its great location to everything with it being 1.5 miles from Gunstock which offers skiing,tubing,segway tours,tree top adventure course,ride to the top on a chair lift and if you dare zip lining.If you like beaches there are three within 2 1/2 to 3 miles Gunstock Acres,Elicoya state park and Gilford beach all are on lake Winnipesaukee.Then you have Weirs beach in Laconia which is a 15 minute ride. If you like going to concerts you also have Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion which is hosting some great concerts this summer and is a 7 minute ride from the house. If your anything like me ask yourself this. When you go away do you ask for a room with a view, if so then this is the house for you.Trust me you wont be disappointed.

What makes this property unique

Being able to get up early and be on the ski slopes in 2 minutes,come home for lunch and go back for some more skiing, ziplining or tubing which is a blast!!!
Grill on the back deck while enjoying the beautiful views of lake Winnipesaukee and sipping your favorite beverage.
