Comfort and quiet in the City

What can we say except amazing place! Has all you need to make your own meals or if you prefer within walking distance of a variety of restaurants. My wife and I both elderly had no qualms whatsoever about feeling safe walking in this neighborhood even after dark. The condo’s decor is simple but very impressive with its paintings and such, the remodel an architectural delight. Bed was comfortable as was the couch and tv viewing area. Irene could not have been more accommodating,in fact way beyond what we expect from a host. PURA VIDA!

Wonderful!

This condo deserves 6 stars. It is clean, bright and comfortable. The kitchen is full of everything you will need to make your own meals should you choose to do so. The beds were really comfortable for us. There are laundry facilities and a roof top terrace. The Owner always replied promptly to our inquiries. The Manager, Cynthia, is simply a delight. She knows the condo, the building, the area, and she can answer all of your questions. Her English is fluent and enthusiastic. The area is safe, and you have easy access to wherever you might want to go. You will not regret reserving this condo!

Modern and convenient

The space is beautiful, 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and a kitchen that has everything you need, lots of storage, closets with hangers and more! Area is very safe, near stadium and parks and all types of restaurants and groceries. Owner responds quickly, and the manager is helpful for the area too. I stayed 2 weeks for medical treatment and was so happy to have this amazing space.

Excellent Place, we will be back !

My wife and I are travelling around Costa Rica with our small dog. Irene's place is just as good if not better in person than in the photos. She was very responsive to all communication and her manager Cynthia was super accommodating. We can't say enough about how pleasant our stay here was. The location is excellent and we were able to walk to many place around the area to eat or shop for some snacks. The area felt safe and we enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful apartment near stadium and restaurants.

Stayed here with my mom in April 2018. We were here having dental work done. Taxis were always waiting a few blocks away at Scotia Bank. Apartment was clean and nicely furnished, exactly like the photos. Looking forward to visiting again.

Location ideal, tastefully decorated - couldn't have been happier!

We spent 3 weeks here in January. We were looking for a place to comfortably escape the northern cold, explore what San Jose had to offer and have easy access to the highways for travelling the countryside - this was perfect. The condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay - fully equipped kitchen, renovated throughout, modern washrooms, comfortable beds, light and airy - just as described only somehow even better. The nights were quiet and great for sleeping. Underground parking was secure. We took advantage of the 4th floor terrace for relaxing with our morning coffee. The building is a delightful low rise with only 11 units and blends in to this upscale neighbourhood. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to great coffee shops and restaurants in the area - comfortable day or night - and loved the proximity of the big Sabana Park with its joggers, soccer games and family picnics. Even though we had a rental car we usually walked to the Hilton on the corner to get an inexpensive cab to the downtown area with it's excellent museums and restaurants. We were on the highways within minutes and the airport is just 20 minutes away. We had easy contact with Irene who made sure our check in and out and anything else we had questions about was promptly facilitated. We hope to return again!

Stay at Irene's Apartment

I stayed at Irene's place Mid-August. The apartment was exactly as you see in the photos. The apartment was modern, clean and extremely tidy. My friend and I were very comfortable in her space. The apartment is located in a central area in San Jose. It is two blocks away from the Hilton Garden hotel La Sabana, where tours can be coordinated. It is not too far from the National Stadium. I was able to walk to nearby shops and restaurants (McDonalds, Starbucks, Juan Valdez, Cosi, Frest Market, etc.). The apartment is approximately 15 mins away from the airport. Irene was a good host; she easily accessible by phone, although the main form of communication was text for any questions that I had. Overall, I would highly recommend Irene's apartment for those wanting find a place to stay in San Jose, Costa Rica.

We truly enjoyed this property.....We stayed here for 5 nights in April 2016. Very Nice and comfortable place. Great apartment, great host!

My husband, our 23-yr-old daughter, and I stayed here for 5 nights in March and completely loved it! Irene emailed and texted with us several times to answer questions and give us tips and helpful info -- she was one of the nicest hosts we've had in many vrbo experiences. The area felt very safe, and we walked around even at night and were never concerned. Several good restaurants within reasonable walking distance, and the Estadio/Sabana bus (catch it heading west just northeast of the stadium) will take you all the way to the Teatro downtown. Locked parking for our rental car was a plus as well. Easy to drive out of town for adventures as well. I will recommend this place to everyone I know!

Beautiful, well-located apartment in the heart of San Jose

I stayed in this apartment with a friend for a week this past August 2015. The place is adorable and the host very accessible. The two bedrooms are amply sized, the bathroom well-appointed and the kitchen well-stocked. Most useful for us, was the apartment´s location near a new hotel, making both the search for taxis and arranging tours (through the hotel concierge desk) super easy (it also helped that my cellphone loaded with the popular Easy Taxi app was working). The neighborhood is safe and has a Starbuck´s, Juan Valdez and Cosi right in the neighborhood, as well as a small supermarket where we bought breakfast items. The building is also nice and quiet. I highly recommend the apartment.

The perfect apartment for San Jose

Irene was great she was waiting for us at the condo to show us how everything worked, the neighborhood was much quieter than I was expecting with it being so close to San Jose downtown. We felt safe and it was so close to the vet we needed to go to so it was perfect. Our elderly dog loved the elevator as she has trouble with stairs. Everything was exactly as described, the bed was very comfortable, and the condo was recently renovated and was modern and comfortable. All of the furniture was comfortable and very nice. I'd highly recommend this condo to anyone coming to San Jose.

Perfect flat for the city

Irene's place its located in one of the best areas of San Jose, it's close to everything and it's very safe. The flat is really well taking care off in every detail which makes it super cozy and luxurious. We staid here for about a week and had a great time, Irene made sure we had everything we needed and was very sweet making us feel like this was our home. After many Airbnb experiences we can really say this one excited our expectations. Thank you for your great hospitality!

Terrific apartment in San Jose! The location was perfect for our needs - close to the national stadium - and within easy reach to taxi services, restaurants and a food market. I love retro, vintage and classics styles but my home is very simple and modern.

Why they chose this property

It is probably the safest neighborhood in San José because many embassies and high profile politicians live here so there is a lot of private security and it is regularly patrolled.

Historically it was also known as the Jewish area too. One of the most exclusive, richest, therefore cleaner and better kept areas in Costa Rica. Small Parks, good restaurants and coffee places. Only 2 blocks from the National Stadium and the biggest and better known park in San José La Sabana Metropolitan Park.

This building is a located on a quiet bubble in the middle of very active and thriving area.
