Such a beautiful spot, host and locals were super friendly and easy to communicate with. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, there was firewood in the fire place ready to go. The beds were super comfy and the shower was heaven after a week of hiking.Highly recommend
Fantastic place to stay. Arrived to find a new bathroom instead of and older one in the photo's, which was greatly appreciated by my father and sister who both have mobility issues.
Lovely cottage and friendly hosts. Being able to stay on a working farm was great for the youth to see. Obviously cold in winter but to be expected. Highly recommend
We loved our stay & the NZ rural farm experience. Hosts were so lovely & generous with their time answering our questions. Beds really comfy. Traditional style cottage/ farm house with cute vintage kitchen - well stocked with utensils etc. Working dogs close by, which we loved giving lots of pats. Also Peppa, the springer spaniel tour guide working dog :) - she was the best!
A comfortable Bach with all we required supplied. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The dogs and chickens were all so friendly. Lovely memories to keep!
We weren't sure what to expect from an old cottage on a farm but we were blown away! So many rustic features but everything very user friendly and comfortable. Stunning views of the farm paddocks and distant mountains make for a relaxing stay. Hosts are very welcoming but leave you to yourself and we were grateful to have our little dog with us. Wish we'd booked for a longer period.
It's only a reasonable option if you need to sleep 10 children.

An interesting comment Karen.
I believe the photos and description are a true reflection of Possum Cottage. The price you pay is not the money I get!!
As you were a solo traveler I'm not sure how you can make an assumption like that....and you may not have appreciated the accommodation but i didn't appreciate finding two extra large suitcases
( broken and unusable ) that you left behind that I have to pay to dispose of.
Great place in seperate older farm house and perfect for 2 families looking for an unpretentious and well priced stay. Very cozy with great facilities and was only 30mins drive to Tekapo . Very friendly and helpful hosts. We will stay again . Thanks
Classic New Zealand farm stay. Old style farm house complete with very friendly dogs, chickens and pigs.
Lovely friendly owners.
Total location awesome- out of the city and quiet!
Loved it- lots of space for everyone!!
A lovely old villa, well equipped with everything we needed, set on a working farm in a beautiful rural environment. Kids loved the roaming chooks and dogs and occasional tractor driving past and our labrador loved racing about with the farm dogs. Warm and cosy with comfortable beds and welcoming with a letter on arrival and some farm eggs. Thanks so much - highly recommended!

Unique experience.
It was a relaxing morning walking around and seeing everything going on at the farm. I'd love to come back with our younger kids some day.
