Welcome to Mad Pad, a one-of-a-kind custom-built home situated right on the 15th hole of the Robert Trent Jones, Sr.–designed Madeline Island Golf Club. Combining unique history with modern comfort, part of the original home was moved from the mainland and rebuilt on the island, giving this property a story as special as its setting.

Accommodating up to 8 guests, Mad Pad is ideal for families, friends, or golf enthusiasts looking for a scenic and memorable getaway.

Fabulous stay in peaceful setting!

We had a great stay at the MadPad! We were on the island for a family wedding with 6 adults. The screened in porch was a delightful place for coffee each morning overlooking the golf course and listening to the birds. Comfy beds and fairly well stocked kitchen.

On the Golf Course

Nicely located and appointed house right on the 15th hole. Screen porch was the best. Met our expectations just fine.

Asphalt

Stay was great except on our 2 nd day, it was a hot mess. We were not informed of repacking of asphalt. We left at 11 am and the workers said we wouldn’t be able to get back for a few hours. No problem we went to the beach. Mound you we have a 3 year old and a 2 Mo old with us. We went back at 2 for naps and feeding infant. We were told we couldn’t drive on our road. They said gone back at 4pm. We DROVE AROUND For 2 hours. ( due to COVID we really couldn’t go in anywhere). We had 2 very unhappy kids. We go back at 4pm. We still are not aloud on our road. After calling Ron several times. We still got mis information At 5pm yhehead worker said that they were suppose to have the road until 8pm. There was a major lack of communication , that left our 1 st full day very undesirable. FRI Thru Monday departure was wonderful
