Bitterroot Road is a beautifully built, luxuriously appointed home in the Bitterroot subdivision in Sun Valley. This 5500 square foot quality home is nestled along the water of Trail Creek halfway between Ketchum and Sun Valley. You are minutes away from downtown Ketchum, Bald mountain, Dollar mountain and the Sun Valley village. You can walk to town and to Sun Valley.
Enjoy soaking in the hot tub after skiing with a glass of wine and listening to the soothing sounds of Trail Creek.

The home features 4 bedrooms, (3 of which overlook the creek ) all with their own private en-suite bathroom and a home office with sofa sleeper. The home office has its own full bath, so the house has, in essence 5 private bedrooms. There is an outdoor hot tub that overlooks trail creek.

The house is beautifully furnished in all rooms with high quality, super comfortable bedding and pillows.

The main living room features a large wood burning fireplace, comfortable furniture, tv and a dining table that can seat 8-10 people.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a gourmet family dinner or a midnight snack.

Fabulous stay at this location. The house is even better than the photos show. Loved the pool table, hot tub and large front room. The proximity to both Ketchum and Sun Valley was perfect; walking distance to both. We will be returning as soon as possible.

Amazing House Great Location

Location is perfect- 5 min walk to Ketchum and Sun valley lodge/resort. House is very spacious, great for big groups! Kitchen has everything you need and hot tub was perfect- beautiful views of the creek. We had a great time and will definitely come back. Grady was really helpful and very responsive!

Our summer vacation

The location says it all but, on top of that, this home accommodated a mini family reunion for us. We were all able to stay in the same place yet distance ourselves enough during the pandemic. Seeing the deer and listening to the creek was so soothing. We will be back...and as often as we can.

Amazing Home in a great location!

This home was one of our favorite VRBO properties! The check in process was great. We felt so comfortable in the home and had a lot of space to move around. The kids loved the pool table, dart board, and backgammon table. The creek behind the house was so pleasant. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals in. It was great! We hope to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful home in a perfect location

The home was beautiful! It’s located right next to a beautiful stream. There’s a steep rocky foothill right behind the house so lots of privacy. The hot tub was brand new this year and we enjoyed that after skiing every day. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and basics (spices, oil, butter, etc). We loved the house and would definitely stay again. There is a “cottage” behind the main house, which we did not need/use. It is not nearly as nice (furniture is pretty plain and the bathroom needs some work), but it would work for teenagers who want their space.

Fantastic Sun Valley Home!

Better than expected and more beautiful and comfortable than the photos! This home is in a truly great location, quiet, right on Trail Creek and has beautiful rooms and a gracious, open and warm living room and dining room. The art is beautiful as well. Great billiard room for family games and warm and cozy with a great cooking kitchen for family meals. Nice big garage and the hot tub was appreciated together with the wood burning fireplace. Great communication with the property manager who reached out early, gave all the details, was always available for question and very kind. Great experience overall. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Just the perfect home to rent for Christmas with our adult children!

Rather than rent a typical condo for Christmas, we decided to rent a home as we wanted a private hot tub and 3 bedrooms. Everything about this house was ideal. It is located within walking distance between Ketchum and Sun Valley. The four of us had plenty of room and privacy in the 3 beautiful bedrooms. The western decor and fantastic artwork made this house fun to live in. We had a tall, fresh Christmas tree and played music through the great sound system. We had a foot of snow the first day and the driveway was plowed and walks shoveled in record time. The house overlooks the creek so the sunrise view was heavenly. We used two of the 4 fireplaces. The kitchen was better equipped than mine at home. We didn't cook dinners but you could easily entertain for 10 here. Overall we felt very comfortable moving around this beautiful western home. Just perfect for Christmas 2015!

Everything about this home and our experience staying in it was awesome! The reservation process was quick and seamless. Communication before our arrival was was welcoming and gave us all of the information we needed. Grady graciously accommodated our schedule by allowing us to check in a few hours early. The house was exactly as described in the listing with a gorgeous location right on the creek and beautiful spaces and furnishings inside and out. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our time there with plenty of dishes, towels, extra pillows & blankets, books, magazines and games. The hot tub and pool table were both very popular. Grady and the owners were both very friendly and responsive whenever we had a question or request of them. They made us feel welcomed and were prompt to follow up every time we reached out to them. The same was true of the property manager, Trent. Overall, this is a beautiful property with excellent management and owners who will make you feel like a valued guest while you are there. We have stayed in a wide variety of vacation rental properties in a lot of places through the years and this was possibly the most seamless experience we’ve had with one. We are grateful to have had the use of this beautiful property for our time in Sun Valley and even more grateful for the graciousness of our hosts Bruce and Heather and the local team they’ve hired to manage it.

Our yearly ski-trip reunion of college friends and spouses (20+ yrs of these trips) to Sun Valley this year! And Bruce and Heather's hospitality at their home was wonderful! Our family spent Christmas in this great house. House manager Graydon was amazing and incredibly helpful attending to every need. The house is large, fun spaces and beautiful artwork. The house could not be better located. Wonderful neighborhood, walkable to downtown. The house is huge. Apart from not having A/C (which was not a huge issue), the house could not be better for a vacation. One of the best things was the property manager, Grady, who was so nice and so helpful. On a skiing vacation trip to Sun Valley, our family had such a great time and we loved the area so much, that we returned in the summer, to go hiking and biking. As so many visitors do, we fell in love with the area and purchased this home.

Why they chose this property

It is the perfect location. Private yet within walking distance to Ketchum and Sun Valley, alongside Trail Creek, and on a dead-end street, so traffic is minimal. We have renovated the home several years ago, and spend many winters and summers here. Christmas being a magical winter wonderland. Summers hold another sort of fairytale, with otters, birds, deer, a pair of Great Horned Owls that live alongside the creek. We hope to share this wonderful place with others.
Although we still spend as much time as possible here, we find that we have an opportunity to share our experience with some lucky people who would enjoy the place
the way we do.
The house is very comfortable, with lots of space and privacy. It is a great place for friends and family that want to enjoy a wonderful time together. The Sun Valley area is a magical place to visit and explore any time of the year.
