Cute cozy cottage with in-ground lap pool! Enjoy the summer in the back yard!

This cute cottage was completely remodeled in 2019 and sleeps six! You will find it has high-end furnishings and feels like a true Vacation home with great pops of color! We've actually had several guests tell us it's the best vacation home they have ever stayed in as far as condition and amenities. The master bedroom is very large with one king bed and two twins (trundle). The secondary bedroom sleeps two with one queen bed. Each bedroom has a private bath with one bath having access through the hall, as well. Both baths have been beautifully remodeled. The kitchen boasts granite counter tops and stainless appliances. There are plenty of dishes, pot and pans, utensils and glasses. Also included in the kitchen is a blender, two coffee makers, a crock pot and toaster. It has all you will need! The thing that actually makes the home so quaint and gives the feel of a cottage are the plantation shutters, as well as the screened door leading to the fenced back patio (to contain little ones from the lap pool). The back patio overlooks the refreshing lap pool (heats like a spa, though not a hottub), as well as a large gazebo! The neighborhood is extremely quiet and has huge trees throughout, as well as a couple of lovely lakes. It's a wonderful place to just walk and enjoy nature. This home is a true gem, and we are confident you will enjoy your stay as many others have! Not only that...it's super convenient to major highways...George Bush and Central Expressway. Interstate 30 is approximately a 10-15 minute drive and Dallas North Tollway is about a 10-15 minute drive in the opposite direction, as well! Just be sure to take a look at the reviews for honest opinions of the property!

Excellent choice!!

My friends and I truly enjoyed our 3 night stay at your well appointed home! The beds and pillows were super comfy! We really enjoyed lounging in the well shaded pool in the evening, the great selection of coffees in the morning and yummy chocolate chip cookies! The attention to detail was greatly appreciated!

Relaxing Week

We had a great stay here. Small heated backyard pool made it perfect as March temps would have been a little cold for swimming. Great response time from the owner (had one dumb question). Thanks for letting us stay in your home. Would do it again!

Great location!

This house was located in a great location. Near a park and plenty of restaurants around. Very clean and nice place to stay. The kitchen was very well stocked which isn’t the least the case in rentals like this. The hot tub is a great feature as well. I will definitely stay here again!

Generously appointed right- sized home in quiet neighborhood. Convenient to major roads. Outdoor space and pool were just enough to make the Texas heat fun. Enjoyed our stay and would return for an encore!

The house is beautiful and very clean. Very spacious for our family of 4. Great lap pool/spa!

We wanted a little getaway for the 4th of July and this was the perfect house! Sharon was so kind, easy to reach and quick to respond. The house is beautifully decorated but very comfortable. The lap pool/spa was perfect for the hot days. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. We loved our stay!!!

Lovely home in Dallas

This house was beautiful. It felt very welcoming and homey. The neighborhood was very nice and it is in a convenient location in Richardson. Had an issue with code at check-in but Sharon responded and got it sorted. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend to others.

Get away

My husband and I had a lovely stay here reconnecting and the idea of enjoying the city! Sadly we had gotten sick and didn't leave the house once. But we were fully spoiled with good food. Clean housing and wonderful atmosphere!! Can not say in words how much we needed and enjoyed this place. Thank you so much

Mixing Buisness with Pleasure, Cute, Clean Little Place

My husband and I had to bring our sons to the area for some testing. We thorougly enjoyed our visit. The property was well located and the neighborhood was nice and safe. The house was very clean and comfortable, and we found the kitchen to be well equipped . In additon to the testing, we were able to get some work done remotely during the day using the internet provided, and then enjoy our evenings in the spa, or eating out at some of the many nearby restaurants. We would highly recommend this property.

Nice Get-a-way!!

My husband & I spent a week here for an anniversary get-a-way. It was PERFECT!!!! The house & neighborhood are wonderful!! Property is easy to get to! I was so impressed with lots of little details that they take time to provide for guests!! The outdoor pool/spa is a wonderful bonus! We had great weather & were able to enjoy it throughout the week! We will definitely consider staying here again!! Sharon was wonderful to work with, always answering my texts in a timely manner! They were kind enough to let us check in early. We loved everything about this property!! Highly recommend!!!

Quiet, relaxing home

This was exactly what we needed that weekend! The house had everything we needed, a couple of items needed attention in the master bath. The toilet fill Valve got stuck everytimr we flushed, requiring us to lift the tank lid and jiggle it to get the tank to fill back up. Also, the handle for switching the shower from overhead to handheld fell off every time I touched it. Probably just needs a screw tightened, but it was loud and annoying every time it clanged to the floor. Overall, a nice experience. We would’ve like to have a tv in the bedroom, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker for us.

Texas Treasure

We stayed at the 'cottage' for the month of March, 2022. If you are looking for a cottage home away from home, this is the place. The home was very well stocked with kitchen equipment and dishes as well as pantry items. Plenty of towels sheets, etc. Working the stove was a little tricky, but we figured it out and all appliances worked great. The spa pool was a welcome addition and we used it all the time -- nicely protected from wind when it was chilly out and operating it was a breeze - just needed to remember to turn it on earlier on cooler days to give it time to heat up. The hosts were easy to reach and very responsive to any questions or requests. I would say the only downside was that even though it definitely has a 'cottage' vibe, some things could use updating such as carpeting and area rug. Also, the livingroom couch continually shed feathers from the pillows. Beds were very comfortable and well appointed. A little disappointed that the gazebo lights did not work as the outside areas were important space for us, but the squirrels were to blame there! All-in-all, a nice, comfortable, well-stocked home with a great location to access all the fun areas around Dallas. Would happily rent again when in the area.

Not as well maintained - spiders and bugs!!! Deposit kept for something that did not work at checkin

We stayed at this small home in Garland, TX with sparse landscaping for almost a week The home seemed clean and nice on the surface but we found a few bugs - one large one actually crushed on the trundle bed that scared kids and we did not use it. There was huge spider web with a spider at the center at the entrance of the gazebo outside and many at the bottom of the kitchen cabinet floor. The kitchen drawers with pots and pans had particles and a few stained towels in the bath. We decided to clean up as much as we could and to make do and appreciate what was there. We reported the issue with the lap pool + spa remote shortly after checking in the house as soon as we tried to operate it that night. I have a video of that as well. We bought and tried new batteries after speaking to Sharon's husband next day who confirmed that we were operating it correctly. He asked us to turn blower on even while in spa mode which was against the printed instructions!! The operation was inconsistent for the blower and the jets would not come on at all. We bought new batteries but operation remain inconsistent and we reported the same status upon checkout. We took excellent care of every little thing including laundrying towels and sheets and the runner on the dining table which had got a little food stain and did all the dishes prior to leaving and restored whatever we moved even a bit to its original place. We bought all our organic cleaning supplies and bath supplies and left them there as well. We did our best even though our checkout was a bit early due to property being booked the same afternoon. Our kids have travelled coast to coast and abroad and we have never had any damages or issues. We were also required to buy a insurance policy prior to renting to cover accidental damages. We are shocked and do not agree with the assessment/non-refund of our deposit. We are sharing our experience as is for simply that and not trying to influence your decision one way or the other. We wish the experience was not disappointing.

Quick stay

Came to Dallas to visit some family for a weekend. The neighborhood was quiet and very convenient to where we needed to be near. The house was very comfortable and clean. This is an older home so if you are looking for a roomier or open concept floor plan this would not be a good fit!

Great Stay!

We booked this house specifically so we could relax for an entire weekend. We were able to do just that. Sharon and her husband are amazing, and were very accommodating. They are very sincere in wanting to make sure that you enjoy every aspect of your stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

Cozy & Comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay in this very cute, clean, well designed cottage equipped with everything you would possibly need. The home is exactly like it is pictured with very nice finishes. The extra amenities such as coffee & cookies were much appreciated. The private garage & pool area were a real bonus!! The hosts were very easy to communicate with. Will definitely return if our travels bring us to the area again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We started out as empty nesters a few years back with one other vacation rental in downtown Plano. We had so much fun talking to people and sharing our home, that we decided to launch home number "2" this year. My husband, Sam, is retired after 31 years at Raytheon and I'm a residential appraiser, as well as a local real estate agent. We have two grown sons that are both married and the "cutest" grandson EVER!

Why they chose this property

I walked in the door to list this property for the lady that owned it, and it just "grabbed" me and reeled me in! It's just a really cute home...and I do mean cottage like cute. That day, as I left there I asked if I could bring my husband back to see it before we listed it, fully expecting him to tell me I was crazy. HA! However, he walked in and apparently it "grabbed" him, as well, because he turned to me and said "let's do it". That's how we became the proud owners. We had no clue we were even looking for another home, but it just seemed right. HA!

What makes this property unique

We both loved the fact it had plantation shutters everywhere and also the fact that there is a small greenbelt behind the property. The property feels very private, both in the front and back yards. We just fell in love with it and could see the potential of a relaxing vacation home...or possibly a home to downsize to one day!
