Great Weekend

Enjoyed our weekend at the estate! Amazing time, just some things to note: volleyball net in pictures was not found when we stayed. Wish the showers had some shelves for my items when showering or some towel hooks near by but I am really nitpicking! Place is exactly as pictured!

Poconos family weekend

This house was perfect for our large family annual Thanksgiving trip. It was spacious enough for everyone and plenty of room for us to gather and spend time together. The house is gorgeous and the area is so peaceful. It was exactly what we were looking for and for all of our needs.

Family Pocono Vacation

We all had a great time once again, in the Poconos. The house fit 17 of us comfortably. It was not quite as luxurious as the pictures make it out to be, but it was very nice. Had it been really high-end, I would have constantly worried about my grandchildren breaking something. That said, I think it was pretty perfect for our family. The pool was great. We had no problems at all during the week. It was close to things our children wanted to do with their families too. Fortunately for us, the weather also cooperated and was beautiful the whole week. I would rent again.

Great house for a large group

We had a great time at this property. The bedrooms were set up perfect for families, the kids loved the bunk beds. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the fun for the kids as the lake was a HUGE hit! The pool house was nice and has a dryer in it to keep the towels warm which was a nice touch. Check in and out very easy and would definitely stay again.

Everyone had such a wonderful time. The place is perfect for large family get together. Plenty to do and plenty to see. Seen the deer every morning and evening was a treat for everyone! Could not have asked for anything better!

Great place in many ways

Overall, this was a great place for our large family. There is a lot to entertain the kids. They caught fish in the pond, spent a lot of time in the pool and made S’mores at the fire pit. The only complaint we had was the lack of dish towels and pot holders in the kitchen and lack of hand towels in the bathrooms, but those are minor. We would definitely stay there again.

Family vacation

The house was great! There were some family members who couldn't make the trip so we only had 11 stay at the house. we could have comfortably fit twice that. The kitchen was a great place to eat and play games at night. The pool was the focal point during the day. The pool was clean and the pool house was a nice touch. Only a 10-15 minute ride to Supermarket, liquor store, pizza etc.. Would definitely return to this property!

Large Family Trip 2023

Overall we enjoyed the property and amenities. Liked the pool with the slide, the pond to fish in, and the fire pit. My only wishes were that the pool filter/slide hose/heater not be on timers or be extended to longer hours. Also felt the place could have been cleaned better. The floors were dirty and some areas in the bedroom a bit dusty.

The best house for a big group!

Thank you so much for having us! We were beyond impressed with everything the property had to offer. We had 21 women staying and had more than enough room. Everything was clean and updated. Eugene would answer messages in seconds. One of the days there we blew a fuse in the master bedroom. I sent a message to Eugene that night and he was there early the next morning to fix it. Well worth it!

Could have been so much nicer

The location and size of the house was great. However, the house wasn’t clean. There was dog hair on the beds and furniture the sheets were folded on the beds but were damp and in some cases, really wet. The house had an enormous number of flies and there was garbage in a garbage can, and odd left over things like a sock a water bottle and some food under beds and around the bedrooms. The owner did immediately send a cleaning person when we contacted him but they did the minimum. Also the house has no book with information so we could never get the a/c to work properly — some rooms were hot while others were freezing. The remote for the tv was really difficult to work and we discovered our last day that it was the remote for the tv in the kitchen. Again instructions would have been helpful. The dishwasher was very problematic dishes rarely came out clean and we had to hand wash a lot of them. Also there were not enough towels especially considering the house has a pool. The most problematic thing was the power went out and the house had no lanterns or flashlights. We contacted the host and he agreed to reimburse us for purchasing these items. However he failed to tell us that without power, we had no water. While he can’t control the power company, he should have had a contigency for a total lack of power. Although he responded quickly when we contacted him, he wasn’t proactive in helping us. We had small children, so this was a stressful day. Finally the “lake” is real day

Trip ruined by dirty, green pool& flies & stench from overflowing garbage

We are submitting a negative review for the first time in 10 yrs of renting vacation homes. Upon arrival we immediately informed Eugene that the pool was green. He sent the handyman over. Not being an authority on pool care(although we were told he takes care of several of Eugenes rentals with pools), he added shock and we were told prior renter dirtied pool (??). We were assured the pool was safe to swim in and because it was very hot out(8/9/20-8/16/20), and we had a total of 11 kids ages 1-10 we did swim. We only rent homes with a pool and especially during the pandemic when most attractions are closed or limited we so looked forward to a week of swimming. Needless to say, every single one of us got a bacterial infection.(we complained fir 7 days) pool began to clear on day 6 after filter finally was backwashed. Should have sent prof pool copany. If the pool was perfect we still would have given a less than desireable review. The pond is shared and that neighbor has many nasty signs and an electric fence. We had to ask for the lawn to be mowed as it was over 10" tall& 4 of us got bee stings. A man came & mowed only part of it. Upon arrival the dumpster was overflowwing, it stunk& there were a million flies. We asked every day for it to be emptied. Not done until Friday (disgusting!!).There are no dressers in bedrooms so suitcases were on floor.Some bathrooms lacking towel rack and need hooks for clothing while showering. A bdrm outlet sticking out of wall with no cover. A/C controls in wrong spot so in order to cool main floor lower level is freezing. Could be an amazing rental but falls very short. Not worth the money. We did get a 10% refund but weeks later we are still suffering with infections from the dirty pool.

Awesome pool!

Our group of 12 adults and kids (ages 5-13) all had a great time at the house! Close to whitewater rafting, hiking, and indoor water parks. The pool was great and perfectly heated. The kids loved the diving board and slide! Owner was super responsive and even had a ball dropped off for us. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies. (Only complaint is the over air conditioned room downstairs!)
