About this property
The Bear Escape - Private Cabin among Tall Trees
Big Bear and an Escape from it all. That's where 'The Bear Escape' came from. Wish I had a more exciting explanation. But if you are intending to 'Escape', Escape you will at my cabin. Its on a quite Street in Sugarloaf, sitting on an extra large lot, which is fully fenced. Several mature, tall trees on the property. And the Cabin itself is very comfortable and personal. Fully furnished with a full kitchen, 2 queen beds upstairs and ample space to feel cozy and at home. If you are planning to get some work done, I've kept the cabin laptop friendly as well. You can walk to the local restaurant and bar 'Kallans' and also to the convenient store next to it, to pickup some supplies you might need. infact, the nights I spend up at the Bear Escape, I love taking a stroll to Kallans' for dinner and drinks. Truely cherish the walk back after. The Village and Snow Summit is roughly 6 miles away. And the restaurants and other stores are along the way. You'll love the light and shade through the tall trees outside. And feel right at home indoors. And you certainly will experience the escape for the days you're here, just the way you hoped for.

We absolutely loved this perfect cabin for our one night stay. Wish we could have stayed longer than booked. It was so easy to book, was so convenient for what we wanted and the price fit our budget. Most importantly its pet friendly and our pups had a great time relaxing in front of the fireplace with plenty of room to explore. We would love to stay again.
We had a great time. Stayed at Cabin before. All was exactly as expected
There are some minor repairs that the property could use but that did not effect our enjoyment. There were piles of sand bags around the cabin that made it feel a little like a construction zone, but he inside of the cabin was cozy and clean.
This Cabin was nice and had a very large, enclosed area for dogs! The kitchen had all we needed and the little store was walking distance. The trails were also just a quick walk and big bear lake a five minute drive! We will be back again!
I had a lovely stay at the Bear Escape cabin. It is a cute rustic cabin with a nice large fenced yard. The cabin has all the basics you need and is very clean. It was great to enjoy the peace and quiet of Sugarloaf and my dogs enjoyed exploring the yard. The owner, Vik, is quick to respond to messages and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay.
Overall this is a good property. Any questions for the owner are answered quickly. The neighborhood is clean and safe. The cabin may be a bit dated but worked very well for our stay. Would use this property again. Thank you!
The place was very cute w a decent sized backyard. They have a washer and dryer which is amazing. The dinner table is really cute. The people are really responsive and kind.

This cabin for the cost was great. We cant complain. The only thing we disliked was the neighbors dogs. They were a little too much. Other than this the property size was nice for a quick get away and Vic was nice to work with through our stay.
My Family & I had a wonderful time visiting. It was My Husband, myself and our two small children and we were happy to bring our small dog along. The cabin was clean & cozy! As someone else mentioned - It is more spacious in person than in pictures. We loved the gated yard for our dog & kids to be out & play! The location was fine, 15 mins from anything & there was a small convenience store about 2 min drive from the cabin. Vik was amazing to communicate with from our initial conversation, booking, & during our stay. The cabin was cozy, clean, and made us feel right at home, we cooked breakfast both mornings. We will try to come back when it snows. Thanks again Vik. We enjoyed our weekend stay!
My wife and I wanted to do a little getaway to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Looking for a nice little cabin, we found this one. Vik was very responsive to what few questions we had. The cabin was a nice little cabin. Simple and cute and not far from Big Bear.
This cabin was a great find, the price is amazing and although the cabin looks small from the outside, it is very spacious. My sister, friends and I had an amazing stay. Also a big plus was that the property has a big yard so my pup really enjoyed her stay as did my friends dog. Owner is pet friendly and that was very appreciated. Will stay here again soon for another girls trip.
Owner was extremely responsive. Would have liked washcloths. Had ants in shower and kitchen area. Very annoying dogs next door various times through the day. Although we were warned about dogs potentially barking was not aware it was all throughout the day. The house and yard was very accommodating. Overall we were satisfied.
Everything was amazing. The property manager was very helpful and easy to get a hold of. Really good yard for our dog.

I loved everything. The cabin was clean and and inviting. Lots of room outside. The owner of the cabin was so responsive. All my questions were answered within minutes. I’ll definitely be back.
Vik was very accommodating and great with communicating! The cabin was clean and I appreciated the extra precautions taken to sanitize the place for our stay. High recommend!
Overall, the property is just fine. Truth be told we needed a quick booking for a last minute trip and we didn’t want to be sitting around the house anyway-we wanted to be outdoors doing stuff.
The house itself is not newly renovated, but had everything we needed. Probably not a great place for a family, but there are 2 queen beds upstairs and laundry on site which was nice. Small and quaint overall.
