Welcome to Glenndean Riverside Retreat, this new cabin overlooks the beautiful Shoalhaven River with absolute water frontage and is set on 9 acres. This property is secluded, peaceful and private, it's an ideal setting for a couple to escape from it all for a weekend or spend a week.
It's the perfect place to go swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, bush walking or just sitting on the deck watching the sunrise or sunset over the water.
This one bedroom cabin is fitted with the finest linen and accessories, with a queen side bed.
The bathroom is separate from the cabin, just next door, giving the cabin extra space for a three seater lounge and a well equipped kitchenette.
This place is truly the spot to relax, unwind and enjoy some outdoor activities, have a BBQ or later cosy up near the fire pit.

Quiet & secluded

Great location, right next to river and centrally located to some great nature walks on the South Coast. Peaceful, but not to far if you need to restock on necessities. Nadine & Glenn are great hosts. Relaxed and easy going. Recommended for a quiet little escape.

Time to Chillax?

The location on the Shoalhaven River was beautiful and a great view down to the river from the balcony. So quiet and peaceful with everything you need to really get away from it all and you’re only 20 minutes away from Nowra. The bed was comfy with great linen being supplied, very clean (and new) bathroom facilities. There was sufficient cooking appliances with a good BBQ and microwave available. There were some condiments, oil and other household items for your use. The host was amazing and the place was sparkling clean. There is next to no phone reception (a text or two may make it through) and no free to air TV but there is a selection of DVD’s. We would suggest taking a book / newspaper and get ready to chillax.

Weekend away

The property is well maintained and located in a private spot by a river. Nadine was very accomodating and an amazing host. She was great to deal with both before and during our stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful!

Such a lovely spot to unwind and recharge! My partner and I stayed for a little mini moon after our wedding. Nadine is an amazing host and has thought of everything to make the stay amazing! The place was spotless and felt like a hone away from home. We sat by the river and had picnics and just relaxed on the deck after a busy few weeks. Nadine is a lovely host whose generousity was greatly appreciated. We will be back!

Beautiful Location Minor Considerations Needed

The location was great and the room was lovely - Nadine did not leave a thing out, it was very well equipped inside. It was very close to the river and offered a nice view and very relaxing stay. Only points for consideration is that the outdoor sitting area was not equipped for rain, and the only cooking facility is an outdoor Webber BBQ that you cannot use if it is raining as there is no outdoor shelter which caused some difficulty for us as it was raining quite heavily during our stay and left us confined to the room until it stopped. The biggest concern is the driveway, due to the heavy rain we barely made it off the property yet up the driveway which is only suited to 4WDs for a safe transition on and off the property, something to be mindful of if you have a prestige or general car that will struggle to navigate these conditions. (We needed to be towed backwards in our van by the owners Ute as it doesnt have a tow point and the rain eliminated all traction for our van so we were unable to reach the actual driveway without being towed. We cut our trip short with fears of being stuck on the property if there was heavier rainfall. All in all though, the owners were lovely, the cabin was nice and as mentioned very well equipped. The bathroom was perfect and the access to the river you cannot fault. If it hadn't rained and we were more aware of the access to the property (and had used a more suitable vehicle) we could have stayed longer and enjoyed it more.

What a wonderfull place to unwind and beautiful hosts couldn't ask for any moreo

An idyllic place which seems like nowhere but is only 10 mins to town. Great people that run the place and nothing was a problem and just the best genuinely great people. I recently divorced and needed time out & I caught fish, rested and enjoyed the beautiful country air and sunsets. This is a legitimate review Cheers Anthony

Excellent location, great fit out

Nadine was great and reviews accurate. Hard to find off the street and driveway would be challenging in a 2WD car. Beautiful location on the river, very peaceful setting.

The most amazing weekend stay!!

Had the best long weekend at Nadine's property. We went during the long weekend and just wanted to get away from the crowds and it was the perfect place! No other people in the property, which was huge!! Off-the-grid, no reception at all. Had enough 4G to load a youtube slackline set up tutorial video when I climbed a tree in front of the river and that was so fun to do as a goat followed me up the tree. Other than that, it was the perfect place to disconnect. Everything was well stocked (they had absolutely everything we needed and more) and incredibly clean. Sheets and the bed was great! BBQ was great (we cooked all our meals on the BBQ for 3 days). Place was so serene. We brought a slackline and had the perfect spot to place it, also brought down a stand up paddle board which we enjoyed using as the river was just perfect for it! Also happy they had a kayak ready for us to use with lifevests ready and we had a nice kayak down the river to a beach with a nice table for a picnic on Saturday afternoon. Overall just the perfect place to unwind and disconnect. No people around, just 2 goats following us around. Had a quick pickle with locking ourselves out of the room, which, fortunately Nadine's son was able to help us out with in no time (had to send a couple messages from the tree again). Thank you so much for having us Nadine and we'll definitely be back soon :)

Most beautiful hidden place next to river

We stayed at this beautiful place for two nights. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. The view onto the river is extremely beautiful. The cabin is very quiet and private. There is a campfire place right next to it and we even got offered a campfire right at the river. Further we had swimming vest provided and a two person canoe so we paddled for two hours up and down the amazing Shoulhaven river. There were horses and goats on the property which gave a perfect farm feeling. This place is a piece of heaven and highly recommended.

Beautiful cabin with amazing amenities, outdoor area and bbq. Nadine provided everything you could need for a relaxing getaway, that felt secluded and off the grid. We struggled to locate the entrance a little at the beginning and missed the directions left for us at the entrance to the property but once we found it, it was great! The property is beautiful and it’s perfect for a quiet get away. Not having internet meant we really spent quality time together. Perfect spot for water sports or just relaxing.. thanks for having us!

Riverside Retreat

Peaceful riverside hideaway perfect for a relaxing weekend

My husband and I stayed the weekend for our wedding anniversary and loved everything about this stay. The location was right on the river with a beautiful view from the cabin and deck. The river was lovely with great fishing for my husband who was in his element catching bass while I got to relax on the deck or sit in the shallows. Though the cabin is not a large building it felt very spacious, comfortable and full of special thoughtful features. Everything we needed was provided (including a very well provisioned kitchenette) and it was clear a lot of thought and effort has gone into making this the perfect getaway location. Nadine and Glenn were so welcoming and friendly in all of our communications and helped with any questions we had - and great suggestions for dinner! We were looking for a quiet place to escape and relax and found the perfect spot in The Cabin at Glenndean Riverside Retreat. We look forward to returning in the future for another getaway.
