The cabin has absolute frontage to the Shoalhaven River on the South Coast of N.S.W

The dramatic sandstone escarpment is at the back door, the beautiful Shoalhaven river is at the front door.

From the sandstone courtyard of this renovated "Cream Shed" you will be able to take in the magnificent river scene with Cambewarra Mountain in the distance.
A short 15 minute drive west of Nowra, Longreach is a very comfortable drive to Jervis Bay, Berry and Kangaroo Valley.

Minimum 2 Night Booking

The cabin is a perfect getaway for couples. We have been operating for over ten years now and many couples return to the cabin because of the beauty and privacy the property offers. At 'Longreach' you can walk, fish and swim. You can relax and watch the cows and horses graze on the river flats or you can do all of that and take some time to explore the beautiful surrounds of the south coast. Kangaroo Valley, Berry and Jervis Bay are all short drives away. Reverse cycle air conditioning for your absolute comfort.

If you choose to you can really escape and socialise with nothing but kangaroos and wombats, 'Longreach' offers complete privacy.

Longreach Cottage

It's a marvellous place, in a beautiful setting. The place is clean and is ideal for a couple who want a few quiet days. Our dog also loves the place. The owners are very friendly and so helpful. I can't praise the place highly enough. Sufficient to say it is about my 9th stay there (and my dog Spuddy's 9th as well).

Beautiful Place

It is a wonderful place to stay for a couple and or a person with a dog. The owners are delightful and so welcoming. The place is very well kept and in a beautiful setting. It is about my 7th stay with my dog Spuddy, and won't be my last.

Gorgeous views

This is a gorgeous location with amazing views. Very relaxing and so peaceful. The highland cows were a lovely surprise. Maree and George were amazing hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.

We can not wait to come back! This cottage was perfectly set up, all we had to do was sit back, relax and take it all in. Such a beautiful spot, it was hard to leave!

Idyllic spot in the country

Beautiful little cottage in a quiet location next to the river. Just far enough from Nowra to feel a proper country vibe but close enough that it didn’t feel completely isolated. Maree was wonderfully kind and helpful and it was great to see the animals on the farm wandering happily around. Really relaxing stay.

A great place to unwind

Even though we picked a wet weekend in November we really enjoyed our stay. Location is great. Private Cabin is extremely spacious and bed was wonderful. Maree and George were great hosts. We will definitely be back when the sun comes out again.

Wonderful getaway.

What a wonderful romantic getaway. Perfect place to get lost in time, be inspired to paint and read. We loved exploring in the canoe, gardens and walking tracks and our fur babies just liked laying around. Highly recommended.

Riverside retreat

A peaceful location overlooking the Shoalhaven River with a backdrop of cliffs and bush land. The tastefully fitted out private cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Maree and George were great hosts.

Peaceful oasis

This cottage is as good as all the other reviews say. A perfect spot to just get away and exhale. The cottage itself is clean and well appointed and also a great dog friendly stay, we would definitely go back. Extremely comfortable king bed but the lounge needs replacing due to the support being all but gone. I would also add a wood fired pizza oven in the BBQ area for a nice pizza night in.

A few days R and R

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and a down to earth relaxed attitude by our host. Our pup was welcomed to the property which is real important to us. The accommodation was clean spacious and quiet with all the essentials supplied. We even got some delicious fresh eggs. The property was amazing with the animals and birds and we would recommend this farm stay to all looking for scenery bush walks and feeding the animals. Loved it 5 stars

Serene Shoalhaven retreat

A charming cottage in a beautiful riverside setting. Maree and George are warm and generous hosts, welcoming us with fresh honey from their bees and a fine bottle of wine. The cottage is tastefully and well fitted out and the setting is green and peaceful with great local walks. Highly recommended!

Perfect for a relaxing weekend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful with a lovely outlook across paddocks to the river. The cottage is spacious but cosy, with a full kitchen and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The fireplace was fantastic and great for a relaxing night in. Maree was friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Getting to play with the dogs was a huge bonus!

Beautiful!!!!

An amazing piece of heaven hidden so close to Sydney. The house was clean and comfortable. An indoor fire already crackling away on arrival, wildlife all around, quiet, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable. We’ll definitely be going back.
