Springview Retreat - secluded, romantic getaway

Springview Retreat is in a class of its own. Situated on a 15 acre property that used to be part of a much larger dairy farm. The original "Springview" farm house is about 100 meters from the cottage. Private access and tasteful furnishings, you won't have to leave your comfortable king size bed (with luxurious linen) to enjoy the sweeping views of the Barrengarry escarpment.

Leave the blinds in the bathroom open, the cattle will be your only curious visitors.

If you have a clear night we guarantee an unforgettable evening lying on the large deck gazing at the night sky full of stars.

Only 7 minutes from the picturesque Kangaroo Valley village that offers a selection of quaint shops and good restaurants. For those a little more adventurous we recommend a trip in a canoe down the river. There are also some fabulous bush walks in, and around the valley. You can also explore the area by car to view the cliffs, waterfalls and rivers.

Fully self contained, you can curl up on the sofa for your whole stay with a book, or explore the many local attractions. We hope you will create wonderful memories in our little piece of paradise. Happy to help in any way we can!

Wood is supplied for the fireplace during the winter months.
Please note, this cottage is for couples only, strictly NO pets (please do not put us in an awkward position and ask if you can bring pets. We take no pets, not small ones, not good ones NO PETS!) NO children and NO smoking

What a beautiful experience

Amazing little cottage in the valley

My partner and I stayed at Karen’s gorgeous little cottage for a few days in the Kangaroo Valley after our wedding. It’s secluded, peaceful and has the most stunning views of the surrounding mountains and nature. It also has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly highly recommend!

The perfect country getaway!

Breathtaking views of the beautiful valley! Karen was great to communicate with and the bath was definitely a selling point!! I recommend bringing some extra carrots for the cows as they’re super social and it’s amazing even seeing the calves this time of year. We loved our stay, highly recommend.

The best cabin we have stayed in

The presentation of the cabin was impeccable. With a 3m x 3m window to nature, a great kitchen, king bed, and a bath, there is nothing else needed. Such a lovely few days.

Relaxing few days away

A perfect place to get away from it all. Probably the best place we have stayed in. Stunning views and total peace and quiet with visits from wombats and kangaroos! The house is beautifully styled and has everything you need. Karen and her husband are wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to return!

Space and light

We loved our two night stays at this beautifully designed holiday house. The open layout and massive windows added gave the feeling of space and luxurious comfort. While it was too warm to have the fireplace going, we imagine it would add even more atmosphere to an already very cosy place. We may have to come back in winter to try it out.

Amazing location.

Perfect location just to get away from the craziness of city life. The view from both lounge room and bedroom and bathroom were amazing and breathtaking. The serenity Room is clean , modern but yet got country feel.

An unforgettable escape

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. This place is nothing short of magical the perfect blend of rustic charm, thoughtful touches, and breathtaking scenery. The cottage was beautifully styled and immaculately clean, with a roaring fireplace, soft lighting, and everything you could possibly need for a cosy, comfortable stay.The host truly didn’t miss a thing. From the quality linen and well-stocked kitchen to the little surprises like marshmallows for roasting and delicious chocolates, it’s clear they’ve poured love and care into every detail. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire, soaking in the stillness and beauty that surrounded us.The view from the cabin was absolutely unreal rolling hills, lavender, and dramatic cliffs stretching across the horizon. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and feel deeply present.We left feeling recharged, grateful, and already dreaming of coming back. A huge thank you to the host for creating such a special space one that feels like a true retreat from the world.

Truly wonderful spot

My wife and I went to springview for our honeymoon and it was a stunning spot. It was very relaxing and you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but you are also very close to the kangaroo valley township if you need to duck into the shops. To be completely honest I wasn’t expecting the view to live up to the photos on the ad but it is as described, just completely stunning. Karen was a fantastic host responding very promptly to any questions we had. We would highly recommend!

A special place

Springview Retreat was a spectacular place. A beautifully appointed, private cottage with everything you could possibly need, yet only a few minutes out of town. Everything was very clean and thoughtfully laid out. Karen was also incredibly helpful and responsive. We stayed for our honeymoon and it was magical being amongst the cows and birds looking up at the escarpment. The view has to be seen to be believed and the fireplace was incredible. Karen also left us some delicious treats which made our stay extra special. We will be back for sure!

Springwood Retreat for 1 Year Anniversary

My partner and I found the Springview retreat to be absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. Karen’s details and decorations made the place feel so homey and the view was like a painting. Karen told us about some of the activities and restaurants to visit in the area which was wonderful and extremely helpful! We went on the nearby Hampden Bridge Walk which was beautiful and the town was lovely to explore. The cabin itself was immaculately clean and Karen had so many fun little surprises and supplies ready for us when we arrived. The whole experience was amazing and the drive through the property up to the cabin was just breathtaking. We didn’t want to leave!! Karen was an incredibly friendly host and wished us goodbye on our last day which was lovely. She had great communication but there was nothing to fault about the cabin to communicate with her about!! 11/10 stars if I could!!!
