We had a wonderful time at this property - the location, amenities and views were amazing. Easy walk into town and down to the river via caravan park.
The outdoor bath was great and fits x2 perfectly.
Highly recommended if you want a weekend away with peace and tranquility. Thank you Jeana!
We just returned from the most glorious long weekend at The Tree House. The property is so beautiful, perched amongst the huge gums, the peace and quiet is incredible, with just a hint of the river trickling gently and the birds singing. We felt like we were there for a long time, not just a few days. The outdoor bath is the perfect way to really unwind and connect to the sounds of nature. The decor is gorgeous and luxe feeling. Thank you so much. I cannot express how much this was needed. The property delivered exactly the right medicine for this stressed out executive couple. Wow! It exceeded our expectations.
Beautiful property. The outside bath is amazing. House fully equipped and hosts fantastic. Our only gripe was no tea towels (we found one under the sofa when we were cleaning up before check out). Also a pair of socks under the bed from previous guests. And we could have done with more hand towels in the bathrooms as no bath mat provided. The facility of a clothes line or airer would have been good. Lastly, there could have been a wider selection of glassware but overall it was fantastic and I would highly recommend and plan to return again.

Lovely stay
The property was presented beautifully and fitted out with everything we needed. The gorgeous fire place made the rather large house warm (eventually). My only drawback was that the listing didn’t presented the property as it really is. It is not a treehouse (just a house with trees in backyard). The listing also gives the impression that it a secluded & intimate cottage with complete privacy. In reality, it is a family house with neighbours on either side. There’s nothing wrong with the place, it was beautiful, but not what I was expecting.
Also, the constantly creaking lounge was quite annoying when you’re enjoying the peace.

Bliss
What a hidden gem - tucked away on a quiet street and perched over the river. The photos don't do the view justice. We felt absolutely secluded in the countryside, yet the quaint Kangaroo Valley township was just 15 mins away on foot, offering all the city comforts we can't seem to shake off (gourmet supplies, fantastic bakery and some amazing stores – especially the old mag and comic book shop).
The house was an absolute sanctuary and we had everything we needed and more. We're off to the owner's Gerringong rental next school holidays and will be back at the Treehouse again. Highlights were waking up to birds tweeting and having a fresh cup of coffee on the balcony whilst the fire pit was a magnet for the kids each night toasting marshmallows. Thanks also for all the little touches - the teapot and biscuits and bottle of wine on arrival.

Property good
Whilst we had a very relaxing time and the house was great the property needed some tlc There were lots of cobwebs and leaf litter on the door and window screens and 2 large dead branches on the roof which I removed.. The gutters were also full of leaves. There was no shampoo supplied as stated only hair conditioner (4 bottles) and one small tuge of shower fell. Vinegar would have been a useful addition in the larder and maybe a bottle of wine and some cheese on arrival would have been a nice touch. The exhaust over the stove didn't work. I have holidayed in many locations across NSW and these details were included in much less evpensive stays. Just some thoughts.
The Treehouse is a beautiful location in the heart of Kangaroo Valley. It was perfect for our weekend away as we loved sitting on the deck in the afternoon and enjoying the cosy fireplace at night. The house has everything you need and is a short 10 minute walk to town. We will definitely be back for another weekend escape.
My wife and I stayed at the Tree House for 4 nights. We were looking to get away from the COVID doldrums and this place was perfect. We went during exceptionally hot weather and it was great (with the caveat that the AC is only in the lounge room, so sleeping was warm). The deck was great (although we didn't use it much due to the cicadas, who are apparently having a bumper year following the bush fires). Regardless, we did get to gaze down at the river. You can also easily see the river from the lounge room. There is river access, which we made use of, although you'll need to be a little dextrous. The location is great. Neighbours were quiet and friendly. It's very close to the bridge either walking or going down the river. It's about a 10 minute walk to town (we spotted a mob of kangaroos on the right). I'd recommend bringing food with you as there's not much in town. The pub beer garden was quite nice for a sundowner. Our doggy thoroughly enjoyed her stay too! Although we went in summer, I think it would be fab in winter too, since there's a nice wood burning oven. The house itself is very nice too, with nice decorations and furniture. The kitchen had everything you need including morning coffee ground for the plunger. We've stayed in dozens of places globally, and this one is up there as one of the top.
We had such a comfortable stay, cozy fireplace, fire pit, exploring if the river, comfy beds and stylish interiors - we felt so at home and didn’t want to leave. Already planning our return!
We had a lovely mid week getaway. The property is beautiful and well equipped. The soft furnishings are very tasteful making you feel right at home from the get-go! Would definitely return.
The property doesn’t look much from the road but it is one of the nicest we have stayed in the rooms are beautiful and overlook the bush and river. It is very peaceful and private. It is well equipped and local shops nearby, highly recommend
Great girls weekend winter retreat. Would also be great for a family or for a group of couples. Highly recommend. Would stay here again but for longer!

Top location with lovely aspect and facilities.
Nicely presented house with separate main bedroom/ensuite to living quarters and remaining bedrooms, which suited us really well. The main bedroom opened onto the large deck area, and views of Kangaroo River.
Living area with gas heating for during our cold weather was lovely, and air-conditioner for the summer would be essential. Kitchen was well appointed, and welcoming goodies were appreciated. Open living area was spacious with Foxtel proving a hit on rainy days.
The outdoor decking area was sensational, and BBQ was a good size, clean, and easy to use.
Definitely would consider a family revisit.

Hi I'm Jeana and I am a yoga teacher my husbands name is Lincoln he is a builder working on various creative projects on the South Coast of NSW. We built THE TREEHOUSE KANGAROO VALLEY in conjunction with Mamaforma who through their innovative ideas and their respect for the natural environment came up with a unique treehouse design suspended over the banks of Kangaroo River and helping us to save all our beautiful trees. We love yoga, surfing and travelling & currently live in Gerringong NSW. Our favourite travel destinations for holidays are India, Fiji,Thailand,Bali and North Queensland-anywhere its warm.
Why they chose this property
The Treehouse was lovingly built by hand by us & created through loads of hardwork and tremendous passion. The Trees had such an amazing presence on the land we knew the only design that would truly work would be one that was completely sympathetic to the natural bushland & river.
What makes this property unique
The Treehouse was the first home we had ever built & has an amazing energy due to how its simple architecture gently greets nature. We were married at The Treehouse so it holds a very special place within our hearts. It was a gorgeous garden cocktail wedding set on the banks of the river. We love to wake up hearing the morning birdsong, being lulled to sleep at night to the sounds of the river & we never tire of the stunning view of Kangaroo River. Life moves at a slower pace at The Treehouse & you begin to notice things like dewdrops on gum leaves & water dragons basking in the sun & this makes our hearts sing.
