Spectacular place to stay. Megan helped us with a recommendation on a great place for a night out to dinner. View was breathtaking. We would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I had a wonderful time, the location on the ocean is awesome, views are great from everywhere, enjoying the spa with the with the ocean mist unparalleled experience.
Really enjoyed this property. The views were stunning, the house was very cozy and comfortable. Great hot tub for star gazing at night. Highly recommend!

Could have been better
Difficult to get answers from Evolve. My questions went unanswered for days. It took awhile to go from VRBO to Evolve then a local contact.
Lockbox needs to be easier to use.
The place needs a deep cleaning, Even the table was sticky as was areas along sides if dishwasher and baseboards.
Screening the hot tub is a must. It is viewed by the neighborhood.
Staying in this home will give you a relaxing, peaceful and unbelievable trip to get away from everyday life stresses. You can’t go wrong in choosing this property. The view and close proximity to the surf sounds are the best. If you have never been to this area i highly recommend it. There is so much to see and do if you want to. I personally like to stay put and enjoy every minute right there on the premises soaking up the solitude and going down to the private beach where you will practically have all to yourself. The home is nicely decorated with a beachy vibe. The beds are very comfortable. There is plenty of comfortable seating which I find important since as I said, I enjoy staying put. Cooking meals there is a plus although there are lots of dining out options. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with all the essentials but if you need something the store close by in Manchester has everything you need. If tv is important to you the only option at this property is Netflix streaming. No regular tv channels are available. There is a dvd player. It is fun to keep and eye out for whale sightings (bring binoculars) along with deer, quail, bunnies, fox in the yard.! You really can’t go wrong with this rental. It truly is heavenly.
Renting this property was easy and the views made this home. Property manager was helpful and responsive. The home was furnished well however the kitchen was poorly equipped. It felt like most kitchen items were purchased at a garage sale and not furnished or organized like a home you would live in. For example the Home is for five people and you only have four knifes. No cookie sheets, pots were not stored with lids and you were looking from cupboard to cupboard for a lid to match your pot. If you don’t cook this is the house for you. The third bedroom is a closet in the master bedroom with an uncomfortable bed, the couch in the living room was a better spot and killer ocean views. The area around the hot tub was being redone with pavers, it was mid process and using at night would be unsafe so we chose not to use the hot tub, which was one of the reasons we selected this home, a little disappointing. The BBQ was missing a handle and tied with a rope to the deck railing, the light for the deck was around the corner, I was unable to untie in the dark and cooking on the dark side of the deck was difficult. This home was very clean and you can’t get better views of the ocean, we were able to see whales migrating South and beach access is a short walk and the neighbors are friendly. I would be sure and ask which route to take to Irish Beach, many routes and some are long and super curved. We all took Google maps suggestion which was a mistake.

Mixed emotions
So much potential but falls short. This place was so underwhelming inside-I felt I was at a motel. There are no real loving touches to the home. The view can’t be beat, yes. It was insane. And the access to the beach is awesome. But I’m shocked that other reviews didn’t warn anyone about the fact that this place is like a 2 1/2 star motel. FYI -the couches are different from the photos, but comfortable. They’re the only piece of newer furniture in the entire home. Cons: The master bedroom is small, and the furniture looks like it came directly from a garage sale. Uncomfortable mattress and the master bedroom heater didn’t work and the icy ocean breeze was seeping through cracks in there. The master bathroom is just as cold, has a strange plastic covering the window that looks a bit tacky, and there is some mold growing in the shower, the toilet seat is peeling — seemed unsanitary to me, the bathtub had some weird wood on it and is missing some tiles. The extra bedroom with a twin bed is small and a bit lame/depressing. My teen son was so upset he had to sleep in there. Not to mention the WiFi was awful and it was hard to stream anything. The kitchen is dingy too, subpar and isn’t something appealing to want to cook in, dated. Cheap fridge. There was no dishwashing liquid. There is a plastic restaurant type bench on the patio to eat at. So again, the only solid pro to this place is that it’s got an incredible view and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. If you are someone who expects a nicer home with decor/ambiance, newer and cleaner items, you would not be happy here. If you’re willing to pay the high price for the incredible view to have a private motel-like home, you’ll be happy. I wouldn’t come back here and have done much better in the area in the past for comparable cost.

Hi Mona, we always appreciate hearing from our guests but would like to clarify the following regarding your review:
- We use professional photographers so we can be sure that our images accurately reflect each property and guests can decide before booking if the decor meets their expectations.
- The couches were recently upgraded to newer ones after they had been damaged during a previous stay.
- The California Coastal Commission has designated this house on the "corridor view", and is small due to expansion restrictions. It is accurately depicted in the listing photos. The furniture is oak and intended to be durable.
- Mattress taste is subjective and while we've never had a complaint of this, are sorry that ours didn't match your personal preferences.
- The heater in the main bedroom works perfectly, but guests should expect windier and cooler temperatures when visiting the Northern California coast.
- The bathroom window has a privacy screen for the comfort of our guests and we are in the process of replacing the toilet seat.
- The wood is part of the bathtub.
- The extra bedroom is accurately depicted in the listing photos with a window seat, a skylight, and a full closet.
- Our remote location can hinder the wifi at times, and we apologize that this affected your stay. Most of our guests enjoy their time at the beach or enjoying the views!
- The kitchen has a view of the ocean and is outfitted with everything one may need to cook and the refrigerator is new.
- We provide dishwashing pods for our guests to use.
- The outdoor patio bench with attached seats is high-quality recycled vinyl and purchased within the last six months.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
This place is a good escape. I would recommend they have more TP and paper towels as we had to procure additional. I also recommend better window covering for ocean side bedrooms. View in living room was fabulous

Rhonda, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
-Generally, guests can count on Evolve to answer any questions related to a booking or pre-stay information, however, guests are referred to the guest contact for on-the-ground issues. We apologize if this wasn't clearly explained to you or if you had trouble contacting Evolve. They provide specific instructions within the pre-stay email that states: 'Please inform the Guest Contact of any problems or concerns upon arrival, so we can work to address these immediately
-The lockbox is a standard hardware store lockbox, and we have never had a complaint. It's been there since it has been a vacation home in 2019
-We, as a team, strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and pleasant place for guests to stay and we apologize for the issues you encountered and that our hospitality and attention to detail left something to be desired on this occasion. We will address your concerns so that future guests do not share the same experience
-Because this property is on the "Corridor View" of the California Coastal Commission, there are very strict rules regarding building and blocking the view for others in the neighborhood. The spa was there when the property was purchased and on the flattest portion of the property nearest the ocean. The advertised photos of the surrounding grounds of the home in relation to the street and front of the property clearly show how far back the spa area is from the street and therefore privacy is maximized as much as possible. The exposure to the public is very limited as even from the street, walkers cannot see the spa. Furthermore, property owners are not allowed to build fences higher than three feet between neighbors let alone off the street or surrounding the house itself. There is already a three-foot fence separating the property and the public sidewalk which helps to hide the spa area
-We were in the typical cleaning process of the home when you arrived early at the property and apologize that the cleaning staff was not able to finish all the final touches in time to meet the early check-in you requested. The cleaners take pride in making sure that the cabin is cleaned upon arrival. If something may have been missed, and the state of the house is ever not up to our high standards, please reach out to our 24-hour local Guest Contact so that the issues can be handled immediately
As is evidenced by the many great reviews this homeowner goes above and beyond to create a memorable experience and we look forward to hosting many satisfied guests!
After reading some of the reviews for this property I was concerned that there would be issues with the cleanliness and condition of the property. I'm happy to say there were no issues with it's cleanliness or condition and I was very satisfied.

The house needed some TLC. The dining room chairs were stained and torn. The cabinets were dirty and greasy. The sink backed up during our stay. The heater in the master bedroom was a bit sketchy. Lots a little touches that would make the stay much more enjoyable.

Hi Susan, we're sorry that this home did not exceed your expectations. We followed up with the homeowners, who were surprised by your feedback, as they and their local team work hard to provide a five-star stay for all guests. They assured us they will address these comments with their property manager to ensure future travelers do not share your experience. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!
This house is all about the view, beautiful sunsets and sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars. The managing agent was super helpful and responsive. Lots of great places to visit nearby.
This place was amazing. View is incredible. Very clean and definitely a great place for a vacation. Would be nice if it had more sleeping options for couples as I would love to come back with friends or other adult family members. I already want to plan my next trip.
We enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful. The private access beach was great for a picnic. We came with our 19&17 year old thinking this property had 3 bedrooms as listed, but I think it’s important for people to know that one of the “bedrooms” is converted from the master bedroom closet. Neither kid wanted to stay in there so one ended up sleeping on the couch. But I’m sure if you have little ones it doesn’t make as much of a difference, but Its different when your adult children are with you and they don’t want to be staying essentially in the same room. The listing says the property “boasts 3 bedrooms” which we felt was not quite accurate. It was gorgeous and clean. Missing some homey touches like blow dryers, TP in the bathrooms, oil in the kitchen for cooking, lounge patio chaos and maybe some pavers to walk down to the hot tub. Just a few things to take it to the next level of a comfortable vacation home. Overall it was a great place to stay. We’d go back again, but probably not with the kids. Thanks for having us!
Loved this house, awesome location with sweeping views making it perfect for whale watching right from the living room. Bring your binoculars and enjoy the view!
