A separate dining room and sunny, fully equipped kitchen give you options for eating in, or even better breathe in the fresh evening air while you roast marshmallows around the fire table. The roomy bedrooms upstairs have their own balconies and large mirrored closet doors to let in the coastal light—and both have ocean views! You’re perfectly situated a block to the beach and near loads of hiking and biking at Nehalem Bay State Park. Downtown Manzanita, with its engaging shops and restaurants, is an easy walk, and you’re close to the golf course as well. Great house short walk from beach

Very clean comfortable house on a quiet street near a path down to the beach. Quiet and relaxing with a nice deck and great kitchen. Would stay there again!

Unable to stay at this property as the host contact me at 3pm the day before stay stating there was an emergent (no other info given except a lightbulb was out in the kitchen). Despite the cancellation on their end the property remained available for booking on Vrbo and other sites. They tried to offer me a rental swap to a duplex on a railroad in a further town - I asked about compensation options for the price difference as the new listing was cheaper than my first booked and was told this was not an option. The next day I woke up to an unclear and unkind message from a manager denying the partial refund and after a phone call found out they had also cancelled the reservation leaving me packed for the beach with no place to stay. I spent hours on the phone with this company Meredith and their customer service with over 5 calls - management was difficult to get a hold of and mostly I reached out of county call centers. Consider staying away from Meredith Lodging for your travel experience. Thankfully Vrbo customer service (which was very easy to access) helped save the day for a rebooking. Ouch Meredith - I hope to never experience something as difficult as this was again.

Cute and cozy house with a quick walk to the ocean. House was clean, close enough to walk into town for breakfast. Would definitely come back to enjoy this place again.

It was OK. The location is fine & the beach is splendid. But, the cottage has a feeling of needing some upgrades.The washer/dryer not working was a problem & having access to the bedroom patios blocked by ugly 2x4 boards nailed across the doors was a surprise & a disappointment.

Perfect location and beautiful backyard

This property is in a perfect location! The house had everything we needed to enjoy the beach and town. We didn't mind that it wasn't updated. We did wish there were screens on the doors in the bedrooms. Overall- great place to stay!!

A pleasant house near the beach

My daughter, a couple of her friends, and I had a lovely time. It's comfortable, no frills but covers all the basics, has a nice layout with the bedrooms upstairs. Everything worked well. There's no view of the beach, but you can hear the waves and it's just a block away. I appreciated the location--a beautiful 15 - 20 minute walk along the beach to reach downtown Manzanita. The girls loved the giant bed and screen for late-night movie watching. We had a great time. Thank you!

The property was clean, but a bit of an old “dusty musty”. We found wet towels in the dryer, the cushion-less outdoor furniture was covered, and a full propane tank sitting in the middle of the deck…were they called away mid tasks? A handyman showed up to replace a battery in the door code box…no call or text, quite startling for the guest who was there and came downstairs to find him there with the open door. It was adequate for a few nights, but in need of attention by someone who cares.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our 2 daughters (ages 7 and 11) had a great time at this vacation home! We had everything we needed and the walk to the beach was super easy. We loved that it wasn't crowded and it felt like home. We traveled south to Tillamook and North to Cannon Beach. We spent our mornings and afternoon/evenings at the beach but went on easy trips during the middle of the day. We played board games (provided) in the evenings and had a very relaxed stay.
