Welcome to Gumbo Cottage located just 7 houses from the Gulf beaches of Anna Maria Island and a street away from downtown Holmes Beach. This ground level half duplex with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths has its own private patio for you to enjoy with heated pool, outdoor shower and grill surrounded by tropical landscaping. Inside, you will find retro styled living area and kitchen with plenty of seating for easy entertaining. You can enjoy a day at the beach with provided beach wagon, chairs and umbrella. Or, take a short walk to downtown Holmes Beach and check out resteraunts, shopping and the marina. Hop on the free island trolley and discover all Anna Maria Island has to offer!

In the evening, retreat to the master suite where you will enjoy the comfortable bed complete with 600 thread count prima cotton wrinkle free sheets. This home includes a fully stocked kitchen, linens, towels, beach towels, and a Weber grill.

Lizzie Lu's Island Retreat is a full-service property manager on Anna Maria Island to ensure our guests enjoy some of the nicest, well stocked homes on the island. For an additional charge, we offer GEM cars among other services. Rest assured we are here to assist as needed in the most efficient manner possible.
While vacationing on Anna Maria Island, please adhere to our local rules and regulations for our residential community which are included in our homes as well as our arrival information.

City ordinance requires us to inform you that you are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

Great place, new and close to beach

Great private pool and newer duplex, everything you could want, beach walking distance 5 min, great central spot to the island, the back yard and pool was the highlight for me..to be able to spend time at beach then come back and relax in pool is the best. Thank you for a nice stay

Perfect Family Spring Break Vacation

We loved our stay here! The location was great and a quick walk to the beach. It was great to have the beach supplies available too. It was so convenient to have the pool in the backyard. We enjoyed grilling out and relaxing by the pool. Although the house is close to everything, you fee secluded by the pool. The house had everything we needed. We loved our visit.

Fun in the sun

Perfect location - Beach short walk & home has a great cart for chairs, umbrella & cooler that were all there to utilize for the days at the beach. Restaurants, bars, liquor store, souvenir, hardware, small market, post office - all within a very short walk. Free trolley for island exploration stops nearby & if you want to be out late - the monkey bus is fantastic - also free, but don’t be that guy, tip the driver!! Great dog park within walking distance. The backyard of the house is entirely fenced - great space for the pooch, too. Wonderful pool & lovely landscaped backyard Great big kitchen space Very comfy beds

Perfect!

We were blown away by Gumbo Cottage. It was the best beach rental we’ve ever stayed in. It is spotless, has everything you need including beach wagon, towels and well-stocked kitchen. The pool and yard are gorgeous . It is a 5 minute walk to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Perfect stay

Absolutely beautiful, pristine cottage! Loved everything about it. We had an issue with the AC and it was addressed and fixed immediately. A 5 minute walk to beach and many restaurants. Will be back!
