Incredible location
The positives: incredible location with private walkway to the beach, reasonable price for the location, very responsive contact at Mary Allen Realty and owners when the wifi did not work. Although it is an older unit, it has an open floor plan, they have updated many of the appliances (eg stove), and have a shady deck with a working outdoor grill and outdoor table/chairs on the deck.
The negative: the place was not clean. In the cupboards, there were coffee grounds in the bottom of cups and grease on dishes, and there was sand on cushions of couches. The wifi did not work (but was quickly fixed!). The logistics of renting were onerous. Instead of paying through VRBO and honoring the standard VRBO agreement, we had to sign online documents with the realtors through a docusign portal. The realtors would not accept a credit card payment (one less protection for us). Key pick up and drop off was at the realtor office and took time because of the distance and the office was south of the causeway and the rental was north of the causeway.
