Guests must climb down a flight of stairs to access this home.

The spiral staircase may not be well suited for those with mobility issues. (Both bedrooms are located on the lower floors.)



Hot Water Notice (Helpful for Families)



The condo has a 50-gallon water heater, which works best for 3–4 people at a time. Since the home sleeps up to 8, we recommend spacing out showers and appliance use to keep everyone comfortable.

PAYMENTS: 



50% of the total booking amount is due at the time of booking.  



All balances must be paid in full 14-days before your scheduled check-in day. 

The total balance of the reservation will be due at the time of booking if your scheduled arrival date is within 14-days of the booking date. 

If the reservation is booked through Airbnb, VRBO, Home Away, Booking.com, etc.100% of the total booking charges are due at the time of booking or follow that site's terms and conditions.



Cancellation Policy: 





Guests may receive a refund of the total booking amount minus the credit card processing fee if the cancellation is made 30 or more days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Reservations canceled within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date are non-refundable.



Please note: Ptarmigan Village is unable to issue refunds or prorated refunds due to travel disruptions or delays, including but not limited to weather, road conditions, flight interruptions, or health-related issues. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, which is available for an additional fee.

Ptarmigan Stay

Our family enjoyed the winter wonderland at Ptarmigan. We all enjoyed the nice outdoor hot tub and indoor sauna immensely after being out skiing in the very low temps. The unit was clean and cozy and we had everything we needed.

We loved our stay! Great little spot in the mountains to come back to at the end of the day after sightseeing in GNP. Beds were comfortable, and place was clean. Fully stocked kitchen was appreciated. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool and laundry facility was convenient. Only feedback would be that I’d remove the carpet from the spiral staircase and put something down that grips better. Otherwise, great place to stay!

You can’t beat the location!

The condo is located near Big Mountain! Our daily trips to the ski hill were so easy! The condo is perfect for families! The pool is a short walk out the back door. We recommend this condo to friends and family.

The area is lovely and the communication was good. However, the pictures display a spiral staircase that goes from the main level to the bedrooms downstairs. The spiral staircase is VERY narrow and does not allow room to take a medium sized suitcase with you. I do not recommend. I’m not sure what other families did to get their suitcases to the bedrooms but we had to leave ours in the living room.

Glacier Vacation

Very comfortable, convenient, well supplied and decorated so cute ("up north" theme). Used the community hot tub after hiking for two days. Would highly recommend.

In the woods but close to everything

My family and I (8 of us ages 1.5-45) loved our stay here. The village is great and fun to explore. There was plenty of fun for the kids between swimming, hot tubbing, fishing in the pond, and going to the playground. The condo itself was clean and had everything we needed including great proximity to the pool and a lovely deck. Only 15 minutes from downtown Whitefish. We'll definitely return.

Loved this place!

The property was great and the closeness to the ski hill was a major plus! Everything was clean and convenient and we will definitely be back! Only thing that was frustrating was that there was no direction on how to get into the condo. We didnt realize we were suppose to pick up a key and other paperwork at the front office because it didn't say so anywhere on the listing. So we had to drive back up to the office to get the key. But other than that, everything else was clear and straight forward!

Great place to stay. Amazing hot tub. House is a bit outdated and when we arrived our sink handle was broken (fell off on first use) and That gave us all anxiety we would be charged for it. Incredibly friendly staff. Huge thanks to Jenny for being so kind. Great place to stay.

Welcome to Ptarmigan Village. we are a private HOA community located on 52 forested acres of land on big mountain. water and sewer are provided for and managed on site. The amenities include an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, and wet sauna. Elmer’s pond is a small pond we stock with fish every summer for the kiddos to practice their angler skills. There are hiking trails throughout the village as well as two tennis/pickleball courts. our owners and guests also have private access to beachfront and dock on whitefish lake.
