A little slice of paradise

The house was a very special place to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday. Spacious, well equipped, fantastic view, glorious deck area and wonderful secluded location. Being able to use all the facilities of Catseye beach and then retreat to our own home from home was wonderful. Everyone had their own space and the communal areas were large and airy. The welcome birthday bubbles were an unexpected bonus! The pool is a bit small but we only used it for a quick cool down after a run. Lack of a door on the master bedroom bathroom was also a little odd but that is a minor quibble. The golf buggies are such a fun way to get around. A wonderful stay and the hosts could not have been more helpful. Everyone on the island was welcoming and cheerful and birthday dinner at the Beach Club restaurant was superb. Treasured memories.

Great view, Property tired

Stayed October 2024. The house is pretty much as they described in the listing. We had a family of 8 and the layout worked quite well for us. Plenty of entertaining area both inside and out. The view is amazing we could see turtles and sharks from our balcony!! The pool area we did not use at all as was in such a bad position and sitting outside at the property smelt quite badly (not sure if it was sewerage) and seemed very run down. The owners definitely need to put some money into the outdoors. We also had a possum in the roof area above the main bedroom. Didn’t cause too much trouble but did hear it moving constantly from about 4.30am. Whole house bedrooms were mainly OK, don’t rely on the sofa bed as so uncomfortable . We have stayed at many places on the island over the last 20 years anas has

Stunning property and vistas

Had a absolutely gorgeous time. Favourite area was the reading nook in the parent retreat - views were amazing, nestled amongst the trees and we saw a sea eagle and turtles! Minor feedback is pool smaller than we thought and at side of house and so a bit out of mind so less likely to use it. But we would definitely hire out again.

Worth every cent & more

Our stay has been awesome and the service and communication along with flexibility to accommodate our needs has been the very best anyone could ask for. My wife's birthday was truly epic in every way and I'm extremely happy to have been able to stay at Mermaid's Reach. The views, facilities and services has left an ever lasting impression. Two complimentary golf buggies and views that keep you captivated all day makes this accommodation so enticing. Modern facilities and large open plan living, private pool & ducted aircon makes the house perfect for families to enjoy the very best that Hamilton Island has to offer. Spending a bit extra is definitely worth the experience and something that will leave an impression on anyone who stays at Mermaid's Reach.

Beautiful

My family and I stayed for a week to celebrate my birthday. We were 8 adults- the house had everything we needed and the views were absolutely beautiful. That veranda facing the sea is perfect.
