Everything about this cabin was spectacular! There is a lot of interesting history about this cabin. The area was absolutely breathtaking and very scenic. Lots of nature! Zero complaints. I would book this cabin again in a heartbeat!

3rd time in this lovely cabin. Our favorite by far! Cabin has everything you possibly need and the location next to the Wolf River is perfect. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend a few days up north in a truly historic log cabin with modern amenities. We will be back!

Thanksgiving weekend getaway

Our family enjoyed watching the wolf river go by the bay window of the log cabin, scenic hiking, hot tubbing and cooking or eating out at Crab and Jacks.

AWESOME STAY!

It was absolutely wonderful staying at this property! The wildlife was so exciting to watch and tv is really not needed! Caitlin was an amazing host! We'll be back!

July 4th - wolf river stay

Good visit, did feel the backyard seating and lounge area was run down (seating, shade options). The water entry/access was not ideal (dock was broken, however still waded in just fine). The home was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

A GREAT holiday get-away!

Our adult children LOVED the cabin... great layout allowed us to all eat and play games together - but also to have different activities going on in different areas.Nice sized kitchen had lots of appliances, etc. and worked well for food preparation.Hot Tub was perfect - view was beautiful and cabin had lots of character

Perfect family gatherings location

We LOVED staying in this cabin! Our daughter was married at Crab n Jacks, and we were a central place to meet. The cabin was beautiful, the gardens and grounds were peaceful, and we loved listening to the river. Check in and check out was easy, and our host were very willing to accommodate. We couldn’t have been happier ❤️

Deer slayers

We have been enjoying opening weekend of deer hunting for 25 years and have always stayed at Crab and Jacks. We hope to never stay there again after our weekend at your cabin. It was perfect for our group of 2 Dads and their sons.

Great location. Everything you need is there. Outdoor games Nice hot tub. One drawback is both bathrooms are on the first floor. Nice restaurant and bar is a 5 minute walk

Family Get Away

Just so wonderful! Very clean, stocked with all essentials and many extras! The kids loved tubing on the Wolf and are already asking about coming back. We are already talking about a fall weekend and some time next summer!! A very fun and relaxing vacation!

Northwoods at its best

We had the perfect long weekend with family and friends to end the summer. This was our second time in this cabin and everything was just as great as the first time. The house and its amenities offer anything you possibly need/want on a trip up north! We will be back…

Beautiful & Relaxing Riverside Home

It was everything you could ask for. The two bald eagles hung out in the trees just across the river upon arrival and frequently flew by during the weekend. The home is comfortable, open and perfectly labeled and stocked with everything you need.

Hiking getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Log Cabin on the Wolf River. After 10 miles of hiking the hot tub felt wonderful, we then enjoyed our dinner at the large kitchen table. After that we relaxed in the living room. The following morning while comfortably sitting by the window watched 11 loons dancing across the Wolf River. We appreciated the 12:00 check in and out times.

This house is amazing.

Everything about this place is amazing. It is the definition of Northwoods and has a fantastic history behind it. We really enjoyed the small perks that it came with, toiletries that may have been forgotten, first aid equipment, baking supplies, games and movies. The TV was a little difficult to figure out, as someone who doesn't use cable. We are definitely making plans to come back in the future.

Relaxing stay

The cabin was so cozy and relaxing, perfect for a mini holiday getaway with the family around the holidays. The cabin was decorated so beautifully. They left up some Christmas and holiday decor, including some cool vintage pieces, which added to the coziness. There was tons of snow up there, but we were still able to enjoy the hot tub and go for nice walks around the property. Plenty of room for 9 adults and 4 wild kiddos. The mattresses under the beds is such a great idea for extra sleeping space! Plenty of extra sheets, blankets and towels if needed. The place was stocked with all the necessities, like kitchen and bath stuff etc. My in-laws absolutely loved their stay and are already talking about going back.

Family trip to the northern woods

Caitlin is a great host, from the communication leading up to the trip and during our stay. Very well organized. The cabin is simply amazing and has all the amenities needed. From the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave after 5 days, we enjoyed every minute of it. Best part is to sit in the morning with a coffee on the terrace watch the river flow by and eagles fly above us. This is the true northwood paradise. We will be back!

Cozy, adorable cabin

We absolutely loved this cabin. All of the wonderful antiques and furnishings made this home so comfortable. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms more than fully stocked, the home was spotless, and the owners had great communication and were very welcoming. We ran into the house keeper at the bar next door and she was very kind as well. Thank you for the stay and we hope to come back again!

Amazing weekend

Went to spend the weekend with my partner and some friends. Both the owner and property manager were extremely helpful during our stay. Nice little getaway from the city, would definitely recommend!

Magical

Our family getaway to River Haven was absolutely magical. With four generations, ranging from age 86 to 1, to we all had an unforgettable time. The pictures do not do the natural backdrop of this home justice. The yard and patio were perfect for hanging by the fire, playing bags, bocce, and more, and relaxing in the hot tub. The house is equipped with everything you’ll need. We enjoyed family dinners and played cards at the enormous dining table, hung by the fireplace in the open living room, and went for hikes. It was also so fun to learn about the history and look through old pictures of the cabin. We made so many memories here and hope to return! We can’t forget to mention how incredible Caitlin and Patsy were! They went above and beyond to make our stay amazing!

Awesome Location, beautiful cabin

We loved our stay! Spacious, well-equipped cabin with a lot of thoughtful extras. Beautiful location and yard. We enjoyed rafting on the river and it was convenient that Herb's raft rental was right next door. Ice cream truck stopped by Wednesday night and that was fun. We loved the outdoor patio and hot tub. Great movie selection as well (DVD's) and plenty of space for all of us. The only reason we didn't give the cabin 5 stars is because the bedrooms were not at all quiet/soundproof which made sleeping very difficult for those that wanted to go to bed early or sleep in. Understandable in the loft area but carpeting in the upstairs bedrooms would be an awesome addition! Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the history of the cabin and the many great amentities.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at River Haven on the Wolf! The location is idyllic and the views are remarkable. Landscape and outdoor space is so relaxing. Small pier for fishing, beautiful patio with hot tub, grill and plenty of seating. We loved watching the Wolf River flow by as well as the bees, birds, hummingbirds, butterflies and dragonflies that visited while we were there. The cabin itself has such a rich history. We enjoyed reading the articles that are displayed to help us understand the significance of the property. We love the kitchen and all of the cooking equipment. The owner has done a great job of providing cookware, serve ware and utensils as well as other thinking towels and washcloths. This is a true home away from home. Our family is a bunch of foodies and we prepared most of our meals in the kitchen together. It was remarkable to find a large and small slow cooker, Kitchen Aid Mixer and a fun fresh coffee bean grinder. The linens and showers were great and we appreciated the washer and dryer just in case we needed it. Special thanks to the owners and the local contact. You have made our 2021 family vacation very memorable! We can't wait to make our next reservation with you.
