Originally built in 1887, this new home rebuilt in 2022 is a replica and rare intact example of the inner city colonial era. Of particular significance is the bull nose veranda, cast iron lacework, stained glass window, kauri doors & timber flooring, double hung windows and high 3.2 metre stud that makes it feel so spacious inside. Offering the charm of yesteryear with modern comforts including central heating/cooling, modern European appliances in a fully equipped kitchen and underfloor tile heating in both bathrooms. Simone received a Community Service Award from the Christchurch City Council for her volunteer work in the local community, including the development of local park, Chesterfields, 100 metres away.
Joe, originally from Scotland, is a keen golfer and enjoys playing at Hagley Golf Club, located 2 kilometres away in Hagley Park where he is Club President.
Simone & Joe have two teenagers living at home joined by their fluffy cat, Mittens, and loveable black lab, Jesse.
