The Golden Hideaway - Matarangi Holiday Home

Tucked away beneath the pine trees and less than 100m from the beach - Welcome to The Golden Hideaway!

This holiday home is on a half-acre of land in the spacious ‘Pines’ area of Matarangi. The beach is accessed via a walkway which is immediately opposite the house and you'll only be 200m to the tennis courts and golf club. The Golden Hideaway has with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a modern open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Large paved verandas, front and rear, keep the house cool in summer and provide shady areas to BBQ or dine outdoors.

The lounge and dining area is open plan with high battened ceilings, polished concrete floors, a large floor rug, open fireplace and sliding doors that open onto the front and back verandas. The lounge has 2 x 3-seater couches, 2 lounge chairs, a flatscreen TV and DVD/CD player (bring your own Sky decoder). The dining area has a large rectangular white table with 8 chairs - perfect for the whole family.

The kitchen features a 3m long island bench. There are 3 bar stools for casual meals at the bench. The appliances include an oven, bench top hob (gas), rangehood, fridge/freezer, bar fridge, microwave, dishwasher, wastemaster, blender, bread maker, sandwich grill, electric jug and toaster, and good quality pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.

All four bedrooms are doubles; two bedrooms have queen size beds and two bedrooms have two king singles. All the bedrooms are carpeted, fabric curtains, wardrobes and innerspring mattresses. Three bedrooms have sliding doors that open outside onto the veranda. The two bathrooms have tiled floors, tiled showers, wall-mounted toilets and basins, heated towel rails and heated mirrors. One bathroom has a bath. The other contains the laundry, including washing machine and drier. There is an iron and ironing board.

The outdoor furniture available includes a large cedar/galvanised steel dining table, six chairs, some deckchairs and bean-bags and a gas BBQ. There is an outdoor shower (hot and cold) for rinsing off after the beach. The outside storeroom contains boogie-boards and some old bikes, which guests are welcome to use.
