We very much enjoyed our time here. Beautiful views, lovely house, well equipped, close to the beach and Park. We would be very happy to stay here again.
Third time for us in this lovely spot. Great set up, great location, perfect holiday. And we sorted the bed this time by tightening the slats, all would be perfect with a new mattress in the room by the hills.

This property is in the ideal location to enjoy everything that Marahau and the Abel Tasman national park has to offer. There is a lovely garden and the house itself is very cleverly designed. There are great indoor and outdoor dining spaces and a cosy lounge seating area. The property is very well equipped and had everything we needed.

Relaxing Kiwi Batch
The property was clean and well located
Perfect for a relaxing time away.
There is no wifi or microwave - it would have been useful if this had been specificall stated in the listing rather than being 'by omission'

You're so very welcome! See you again next time :)
I loved this little house. Its location is perfect for access to Abel Tasmin coastal walk, the beach, the water taxis and kayaking. We found the home very comfortable, yes the beds sag slightly but not as bad as some previous reviews have suggested. It is well equipped, comfortable and has a range of games and books for time spent inside. Even when you are inside you can look out at the view and the birds in the garden. Loved it and recommend for a rustic retreat.

There were some good features: excellent location; big, beautiful windows; spacious kitchen with amenities; comfortable living room. Not so good features: expensive; no wifi, need to ration water, lots of spiders and cockroaches; long list of do's and dont's, especially around cleaning up and preparing the house for the next guests.
We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The yard is full of fruit trees and birds, and the lounging options are excellent. The design is great for a family and we were very comfortable. It is next to a holiday park but was very quiet the nights we were there. We came without a car and the location was perfect for being able to take water taxi trips into Abel Tasman. We ate both nights at Hooked and enjoyed it, and were able to get basics at the store. If we'd been organized a little better it would have been better to bring more groceries, since the kitchen is well supplied, but for the record this place does make it possible to enjoy the area without a car!

Infested with cockroaches, in our bed and in the ceiling
I just want to say this place is stunning, looks exactly like the picture, and is in an excellent location. I was really looking forward to this because the outside yard is also incredible and has great amenities.
Unfortunately, we had to leave after 1 night because the place hasn't been treated for bugs. Of course being in nature bugs are to be expected, but this was COMPLETELY different and on another level. As soon as we arrived we found 2 dead roaches, but thought nothing of it and just took the trash outside.
Once the evening came they started to come out in numbers. They were in the couch cushions, crawling on the ceiling, in the kitchen, and we even found one in our bed. We ended up sleeping on the kitchen table using towels as blankets and my purse as a pillow.
We couldn't leave until the morning because there were no access to wifi, ride shares, pickups or taxis, or even boat rides to another location.
As soon as the local cafe opened at 8am, we took all of our luggage and waited there until we could figure out our next steps. We were then forced to hitch a ride to another place that day, walking up a hill to the new location, making this trip extremely exhausting and traumatizing.
I'm still waiting to hear back from the hosts for a refund. I'm really torn as this place is objectively beautiful and I'm sure an amazing time if treated for bugs. I think we just didn't come at the right time of the season.
Modern Bach on a large section near many services.
A lovely Bach, fitted out with everything, just needs new mattresses to get a higher rating. Location is interesting with the Bach nestled on a large section with a short walk to an amazing beach. Will definitely return as Marahau is a perfect holiday destination and this Bach is well worth returning to.
We had a great time with our two dogs. The village is busy with visitors to Abel Tasman but the bach feels peaceful. Easy to relax and make yourself at home. The local bar/cafe, pizza place and burger place are all great quality. Only 20 mins drive to Motueka for supermarket.
My wife & I stayed at the Bach in the winter months (typically out of season). Everything from meeting Claire (Property manager) to the cosy nights in front of the log burner, the day walks under big blue skies to the night skies full of stars was well worth the visit. Highly highly recommended.

Fantastic property and soo close to the water, cafe etc.
Fantastic property and soo close to the water, cafe etc. Absolutely LOVED it, modern and funky but still managed to have that classic kiwi bach feel. Will be booking again. Only negatives were only one mirror (in the bathroom) - difficult when 2 couples trying to shower and get presentable for the same wedding!! Also some more hooks for clothes in the bedroom and any hooks at all in the bathroom would be helpful
These are completely minor and I am only mentioning to improve not criticize :))
