The Ranch House features a nostalgic country decor and has a large kitchen with a 6ft. island and 12-person table, comfortable family room, formal dining room, five bedrooms and two full baths. Linens and kitchenware provided, as well as flat-screen cable TV. There is a playground in the side yard, and plenty of lawn space, making this a wonderful spot to spend quality time with family and friends! Fire pit and gas grill - firewood and propane provided. Guests at River’s Bend Ranch can enjoy fishing, birding, scenic walking trails, and horseback rides along our stretch of the Shenandoah’s South Fork—open to all ages and abilities. With easy access to Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, the town of Luray, hiking, kayaking, and more, there’s something for everyone. Kids (and adults!) will love meeting our farm animals, including sheep, cows, chickens (and sometimes baby chicks!), horses, barn cats, and our friendly, attention-loving dog.

Dogs will need to be crated  if left alone inside the cabin while the owner is away, also dogs will need to be leashed while on the property, so that they do not chase any farm animals.

During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4 wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.

This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $2500 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $59 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
