Casa Reina is a sprawling luxury villa located in a gated community perched high on a mountainside. The home sleeps up to 16 adults and boasts spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Playa Grande beach, and the Las Baulas nature reserve. It is only a five-minute drive to world-class beaches, dining, and adventuring, and it is less than an hour from an international airport.

Our guests receive a complimentary concierge service to help plan your stay with us. Take advantage of our local knowledge and experience to make your trip as seamless as possible. We are happy to assist with rental cars, airport transfers, tours/excursions throughout the country, private chef services, in-home spa treatments and anything else you may want or need. Just ask us and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

The area is known for its amazing plants and animals, so during your stay you should expect to see a variety of wildlife, including parrots, Howler monkeys, and iguanas. The local town of Playa Grande is welcoming and fun, with all the amenities you could need. To experience the authentic Pura Vida lifestyle, head down to Playa Grande Beach at sunset with a cocktail or a surfboard. For something, a little faster paced check out Tamarindo, a bustling tourist town with shopping and restaurants, 25 minutes to the south, or Flamingo, a picturesque town with restaurants, shopping, and attractions, 20 minutes to the north.

Completed in 2019, Casa Reina is a modern villa with tons of space and all the modern conveniences, set in a true indoor/outdoor setting. The main house offers a fully appointed gourmet kitchen, a 12-foot-long custom dining table, and a large living room perfect for game or movie nights. The living room seamlessly flows out to a spacious deck, infinity pool, and outdoor BBQ area all with spectacular views and plenty room to spread out. A large outdoor living room invites everyone to enjoy incredible sunsets and star-filled evenings together.

The main house has three large, well-appointed bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, walk-in closets, and private terraces overlooking the sweeping jungle and ocean views. A floating catwalk leads to an impressive master bedroom with a generous private living room. After a long day of fun, you will sleep like a baby in the luxurious king-sized bed, feeling refreshed for each new day.

Casa Reina’s guest house is located at the far end of the property and offers both privacy and a touch of adventure. The small building can comfortably sleep eight between its two bedrooms, each with a large sleeping loft that fits two twin-sized beds. A spacious bathroom with an interior garden connects the two rooms and the 360 views create a sense of sleeping in a jungle treehouse. On your way to the guest house, you will encounter the unique and highly enjoyable hammock garden. Comprised of 7 two-person hammocks, there is room for everyone to relax and marvel at the mountain views to the north, the ocean views to the south, and the sprawling starry night sky.

*** Please note that we want all our guests to enjoy their stay at Casa Reina. This home is in a private, gated community with full-time residents and families. There is an EXTREMELY STRICT no-noise policy outside between 10p-6a. This is not the house to host a party or event. This home is great for groups of adults and families who respect the neighbors and rules of the community. If you plan to bring a large group to have a party, large event, or make excessive noise, please reserve another property as the noise will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave and without a refund. ***
