This is the place to stay in Durango… perfect location, within walking distance to everything in downtown. The place was very clean, the staff was AMAZING, and the view from the hot tub incredible. It was so nice to have a kitchen and a beautiful balcony where i could enjoy my coffee in the mornings.
While parking is tight, the location of this property is outstanding for visits to Fort Lewis College, the Durango-Silverton train, and downtown Durango. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. If/when we return, this will be where we stay.
I stayed at this property for two weeks. The staff were fantastic; easy to talk to, knowledgeable about the area, kind and quick to help. The room itself was spacious, clean and well maintained. 10/10 would recommend.
Alex, at the front desk, was the sweetest person we have met on our 2 week trip. She assisted us in using the laundry room, gave great suggestions on restaurants and shops, offered us games to play, and left us a Guests of the Day basket in our room. She is an asset to your hotel!
We will hands down stay at this place again! While in Durango, we stayed at several hotels over the course of our adventure, including the historic downtown hotels. This one though beat them all! The staff was so friendly. We interacted multiple times with Danzig who was at the front desk. She is super helpful, always was courteous and so incredibly friendly. Thank you Danzig for your great customer service!! The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, the downtown and lots of great places to eat and see. It has parking right next to it that is easy to get in and out of. We had forgotten a toothbrush and a few other things and the front desk said "no problem!" and handed us some courtesy of the resort. It was so nice to not have to rush to the grocery store to stock up even though that is only a few blocks away. The suite itself is spacious, beautifully decorated with up to date colors and furnishings, easy to access and so clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials (pans, plates, cups, etc). The bed was the best sleep we got while in Durango. Everything just felt higher end versus feeling cheaply made and done. There are multiple hot tubs to use. Literally, we stepped out of the elevator, walked across to the windows, and there was a beautiful deck with a hot tub and gorgeous mountain views. The mountain views alone were outstanding!!! We will stay here again!
We were unable to make this trip because we learned just days prior that the condo we reserved as handicapped accessible wasn't. Needless to say we were so disappointed, and mad to be honest. It is unacceptable to list your property as handicapped accessible when it isn't. VRBO should definitely crack down on this misinformation. There should be a list of things that qualify a unit as wheelchair or ADA compliant.
