Fisherman Island Retreat, West Nipissing, Sturgeon Falls, ON with 10 acres of privacy and 4 private beaches, 20 minutes from the mainland.

Fisherman Island is located on Lake Nipissing near the mouth of the French River in Northern Ontario, an excellent fishing area for Musky, Northern Pike, Bass, and Pickerel.

Go beyond the familiar and discover what Fisherman Island has to offer:

Relax, sunbathe, or swim at our private beach. In the evening, gaze at the stars while relaxing by our lakeside fire pit.

Weeks run from Saturday to Saturday. Maximum capacity of 6 guests.

Weekly check-in time is 2:00 pm on Saturday and check-out time is 10:30 am the next Saturday

Free Round Trip Transportation to Fisherman Island - Pick up at RB’s Riverside Marina in Sturgeon Falls.

Tastefully furnished, our cottages are fitted with linen (dish towels, and sheets), pillows, and blankets. Our full-size kitchens provide you with modern amenities: microwave oven, electric coffee maker, toaster, stainless steel cooking utensils, dinnerware, and silverware. Our cottages include the following features: fireplace, spacious deck, outdoor propane BBQ, and a patio set. A bonfire area at the beach and a gas fire table at the main cabin will add to your enjoyment. We look forward to making your stay with us a memorable experience!

This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check-in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travelers canceling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travelers canceling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travelers canceling less than 14 days prior to check-in.

Our house rules: primary renter must be 30 or older, no smoking, no parties or events. The cottage is immaculate upon check-in and is expected to be in the same condition upon check-out. Please inquire about house rules.

A Memorable Island Adventure

This was a great family vacation! The views and location were stunning. The main private beach was really the highlight - this was the best beach and swimming we've had at a cottage (and we have rented a few different spots around Ontario). The water was calm, clean and warm. We enjoyed exploring and hiking parts of the island. It seems to be a great fishing spot, however we were unlucky in that department. The hosts were absolutely amazing, providing us with everything we could need and being very hospitable and accommodating. We would definitely recommend it and would rent again. I think that if we had had our own watercraft, it would have enhanced the exploring experience for us, but other than that, it was a perfectly wonderful experience. Thank you!

Fantastic cottage on Lake Nipissing. Well appointed with lots of space, inside and out. Very private and a great place to spend time with friends and family.

Island retreat

We had a wonderful trip to the island. We enjoyed the very private setting and beautiful views. We spent most of our time on the sandy beach, using the kayak and paddle boat provided. The water was warm and amazing for swimming. The cottage is stunning, with views on all sides. We were a group of 6 and we had plenty of room - for sleeping, cooking and playing board games in the very large main room. The beds were very comfortable, and we woke up to the sound of waves lapping on the shore. We were a bit nervous about being on an island, but it turned out to be the best part of the experience. The kids were safe everywhere and enjoyed the freedom to explore. The owners were very responsive- both before and during our stay. We appreciated that they provided linens and drinking water for our stay. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We truly felt like guests more than renters. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We hope to return soon.

Exactly how the ad stated

We brought a large family and used both cabins. The cabins have superb views and were perfect for the size of group we had. The owners helped us get to the cottage and return. The beds were comfy, amenities were suiting, the beaches were amazing with lots of natural sand, very private area and lots of acres to walk around. My family walked in a little hesitant as we always do and left on a high knowing we had such a great time and achieved the level of relaxation we were looking for. The fishing was also great for a few meals. Highly recommend the owners and their cottages. You can’t go wrong here !

Serene, breathtakingly beautiful spot

This island cottage is a piece of paradise - beautiful spot with gorgeous views and fantastic beaches. The accommodations were great! If you are looking to get away and connect with nature in all its beauty - this is the place to rent! Be prepared to be self sustaining on an island for a week however, but well worth it!
