This place is a gem and we would love to go back! It's very cozy and comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and being able to meet Dave and Gloria. Only an hour drive from our house so hopefully we can stay again sometime!

Our stay at River retreat was amazing! Gloria and Dave have thought of every detail to make your stay perfect! It was one of the best VRBO that we stayed at! I wish we had more time there, but it was at the end of our trip and we left early to get home! Their River view that they share with you is amazing! Next time I am coming back to stay longer and kayak!

Great stay - perfect for skiing Schweitzer!

Had a wonderful time at the property, was a winter wonderland with a lovely hot tub. Was a perfect landing point to ski Schweitzer.

Wonderful, relaxing retreat with great hosts

Truly one of the best places we have stayed! Gloria and Dave have taken every measure to ensure a guest's comfort--from their friendly greeting, to the setup of the apartment with clear thought to every need, to the kayaks, dock, lawn games, and other outdoor fun to make this an enjoyable retreat. A week of relaxation

If you want a spot to relax and unwind, this is it! You can literally roll out of bed and roll down to the lake where you can sit surrounded by the pines and take in the view of eagles fishing for the rising fish.

It is an absolutely gorgeous property right on the lake. Hosts were fantastic. Lodgings were comfortable. From the pictures on the website, we thought the lake was right below us but it was below the main house across from us. But it was in short hike down to the lake. They offer paddle boards, kayaks and even a canoe to use, if you like. The lake was so warm, so swimming was lovely. The hosts are so accommodating and friendly. This place feel less like a rental and more like a friend let you stay in their guest house. We were visiting for a concert in Sandpoint and it was a quick 15 minute drive down the hill to the venue. I recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Wonderful Weekend

Dave and Gloria were fantastic hosts offering much information about the local community and activities. They made us feel a part of their family when invited to the campfire. Don’t miss the pez bar and be sure to save time to enjoy all the water toys and games!

Everything was as expected and more. Check in and out was easy the place was very clean and all accommodations were made easy to us. The attention to detail on writing a sweet welcome message and decorating for Valentine's day made our stay extra special. The owners responded promptly and provided great insight into the surrounding area

Nice week at the lake/river

We enjoyed our stay. The location was great, and the rental was exactly as listed. The access to the river/lake was wonderful, and our family had a nice time relaxing in the yard and on the dock. The kids especially liked the ~2meter diving board. The rental was as described, well stocked, and very clean - particularly compared to other rentals we've stayed in. We would absolutely return when/if we head back to the Sandpoint area.

We came for a soccer tournament & the property was great for the short commute to Sandpoint. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the water as much as we would have liked to but our dog had a great time swimming in the mornings before heading to soccer.

Went for the Sanpoint Music Festival. The concert was great and the retreat was even better. The host was very accommodating and the place has everything you would need for the weekend. We spent most of the second day of our trip just hanging out on the dock and swimming. The diving board on the dock was a huge plus and they have underwater lights to swim with at night. Couldn't say anything better about this property, the hosts were very welcoming and fun to talk to, and you can't beat the views. 10/10 would recommend to any small family or couple wanting to get away for the weekend.

Perfect Stay with Nice Touches

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival with soft music playing and the calming scent of essential oils, which immediately set a peaceful and inviting tone. The home was beautifully prepared with many thoughtful details throughout—it's clear the hosts genuinely care about creating a comfortable and enjoyable stay for their guests. We especially appreciated the clean and well-maintained hot tub, and the paddleboards were a fantastic bonus that allowed us to experience the river in a unique and fun way.A couple of small notes for future guests: we found the thermostat a bit tricky to navigate, and it may not have been heating or cooling as efficiently as expected. Additionally, since we brought our two dogs, we noticed insect or rodent traps in the laundry area. While we understand and respect the need for pest control, it could be helpful to ensure these are placed in a way that’s less accessible to pets, just as a precaution.Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would absolutely return!
