Ideally located with the Ovens River, the Rail Trail and the Golf Course all at your door step.

Why not treat yourself, relax down beside the Ovens River with a glass of wine or the fishing rod, watch family and friends splash around on a hot day and enjoy your private oasis at the end of a quite lane. Outside apart from the stunning surrounds you will find the in-ground pool, easy access onto the rail trail, the nearby local golf course and of course the previously mentioned beautiful Ovens River right at your back door.

Beautifully presented 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with 3 living spaces, you are surrounded by acres of peace, privacy and established gardens and trees.

The house itself is a U shape in its design wrapping around an undercover internal courtyard that makes for a fantastic casual or entertaining space in its own right.

This property is managed on behalf of the owners by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group).

KITCHEN
This newly renovated modern, country style kitchen is huge with plenty of space for meal preparation, cooking and clean up. It features a dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, gas cooktop, a large stainless steel fridge/freezer and a coffee percolator.

LOUNGE
The main lounge room seats 7 guests with a three seater and two x two seater lounges positioned to create the perfect entertaining space around the corner fireplace. A sitting room / study receives nice natural sunlight and is set up with two armchairs, a selection of reading material and enjoys a view through the window of the swimming pool outside.

DINING
The dining room adjoins the spacious kitchen and has a dining table with seating for 8 and lounge. A second dining table in the kitchen has seating for 4.

HEATING & COOLING
Ceiling fans in the king and queen bedrooms. A split system in the bunk room and a split system in the dining room and main lounge room. A slow combustion woodfire in the main lounge room add ambience and warmth during the cooler months of the year. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

COMMUNICATIONS
Bright River Rest has WIFI available. Due to its location, mobile service can be intermittent.

BATHROOMS
Renovated bathroom with spacious shower and separate toilet.

OUTDOORS
Featuring an in-ground pool and gas BBQ, set on a large sprawling lawn with a natural bush back drop, many memories will be created in this awesome regional retreat. Bright River Rest also has direct access to the "Rail Trail" and to the Ovens River. A bicycle shed is available for guests ensuring ease of storing your bike during your stay.

Great ‘hideaway’ so close to bright

Great place to stay. A few km from Bright, right on the rail trail and the river nearby.So much space in the house could have had a couple of families in comfort.And the pool is super - refreshing, clean and a great size!No mobile reception but wifi at the property.

This property is way overpriced. The filter on the pool wasnt working until the pool man came on day 6 of our 8 day stay (i did call on day one to letvthem know). Outdoors needed a good cleanup eg: tables and chairs we filthy and we had to scrub them. The house itself was very clean. Dont expect riverfront as its not. Overall the price is way too high. I rent houses every year, and yes i was disappointed.

Very disappointed

The beginning of the house was decent After the first day the pool filter broke down, there was multiple injuries but no first aid kit to help. The communication with the manager was very bad, they didn’t help much with anything besides the pool. There was no wifi and would take hours for even a single message to get sent on a mobile device because of the lack of wifi. There was multiple cracks in the roof and that wasn’t known of when they gave us the house. Very rude communication, they seemed very unbothered to help, the jacuzzi didn’t even work. Seemed very good from the outside but was very disappointing on the inside. Besides that the garden and rooming was very good, everything was well kept and clean and labelled which helped. It was overall a very good stay but disappointing aswell.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dangerous!!! Hazard of being electrocuted when it rains, spider webs so make sure you have antidote, dust so cary mask with you and last but not least you won’t be short of men’s underwear. Just look around and you’ll find them.

Wonderful restful stay in lovely garden, close to river and bridge on rail trail.

I had 2 peaceful days by myself and then family and friends arrived. Plenty of space for everyone, even for personal time in a large group.

House was great and easily accommodated 3 families with plenty of room to move. Kids loved the pool! Highly sensitive neighbour so you will need to be mindful of regular family noise even in the middle of the day! Some rooms were better than others, I think the master could do with an upgrade to bring it in line with the rest of the accomodation, it was hot and stuffy, and ensuite bathroom had no ventilation. Overall though we were happy and had a great time. The area is breathtaking
