About this property
Lake House on Lake Cascade in Donnelly near McCall
This home is located on Cascade Lake in a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of room for a few families with sleeping arrangements for MAX 8 adults and 12 guests total. Sorry, no pets. Come and relax in this peaceful lakefront setting. The views of the lake from the home are stunning all year round. You can access the lake from the small deck (perfect for kayaks or paddle boards but too shallow for ski boats) off the backyard in June and early July when the lake is full. As the water retreats in late July and August, enjoy the beautiful views and the diverse animal life that come to visit.
In the winter months ski at Tamarack or Brundage ski resorts, go snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, ice fishing, sledding, and soak in the local hot springs.
You can always relax at home by the wood-burning fireplace and watch the beautiful sunsets over the mountains.
Please note: The lake comes up to the edge of the small deck when the lake is full which is generally in June to early July. As the lake retreats, it can vary and goes down in mid-July and August. At that point the view of the lake is still beautiful but you cannot access the water from the deck. This property is on open water and the stairs down to the deck are narrow and steep without a handrail (see photos). Use stairs and deck at your own risk.

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin by the lake! It was very relaxing and the children had a wonderful time going down to the lake and playing around the cabin.
We really enjoyed fishing from the dock and use of the paddle boat. House was well appointed and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and great views too. We'll be booking again.
We’ve stayed there before and really enjoy our family time there. Last time was summer a couple years ago & this time in the winter. A completely different but great experience! Will stay again 👍
My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had a few quirks (hot water takes forever to get to sinks, counters are for giants not someone 5ft tall, grill was filthy and had to light with match) and it wasn't quite as clean as I would've liked (toilet in master bath), but overall it was great and I would stay here again. We had fun playing foosball and ping pong and plenty of room for all of us.
Great location, beautiful view, large rooms, well appointed kitchen. Could use deep clean, some deck maintenance and new towels.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider this home for our next reunion.
We enjoyed our stay with our family in this beautiful home. The neighborhood was quiet and away from lots of people. The property managers were quick to respond to a few minor issues and we appreciated that.
Very clean, comfortable house. Beautiful view of the lake. We had our kayaks with us and enjoyed being able to launch from the small dock area. Lovely evenings around the fire pit with bald eagles soaring overhead. Highly recommend this rental.

The bald eagles are amazing!! We are so glad you got to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you at the cabin. Thanks for the review!
This house is one of a kind! Amazing design great for a large group. The deck and fire pit area are set up perfectly. The neighbors are great so friendly and fun. Even with the lake level down we where able to kayak right from the house. We look forward to going back next year.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for taking great care of our home and we would love to have you stay again.
We had a great time. Everything was exactly as pictured. Owner very responsive and helpful. Great view from back deck and a place to put in paddle boards just up the road. Kitchen well furnished - we cooked most of our meals and weren’t missing anything. It was a very comfortable space. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Nice place but limited lake access for snowmobile’s
The house was well-maintained and clean, the only complaint I would have is that the smoke alarm was defective and was constantly having to be reset. It was a very nice experience overall.
Good stay love the area as own cabin next door were back and forth decorated nicely game room a hit fishing off dock too - only complaint was about bunk beds as anyone over 5' 6" or so could not stretch out in bed and a lot of beds were bunk beds
The home was better than the pictures! Our family of 10, including small children has plenty to do. The outside firepit had enough chairs for everyone and the paddle boats were fun to roam around on, on the water. Sunset views were amazing, house was very well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean and the separate living areas, upstairs and downstairs, were nice for everyone to have space for different activities. We will definitely be reserving again for another trip!
Large home on quiet dead end street with beautiful views
This was a great home with super views and fun amenities for all family members. Everything in the home was well thought out and very comfortable. My family enjoyed the quiet location. Since we visited in August, the lake level had gone down from the dock a little bit, but we expected this. There was a nice beach nearby and plenty of other spots to access the water. Trevor and Kathryn were very responsive to any questions. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We are so glad you enjoyed your time at the cabin Andrea! Thanks for your review
very beautiful place, master bedroom faces the lake, even though it was a rainy weekend, the last day we were there the lake showed it self off with a beautiful sunset. House provided one peddle boat which was fun for fishing. Lots of beds for kids to play. WIFI worked perfect. Overall it was a good experience. I can imagine it would be nicer if its warm weather. Property owner were easy to reach, sounded very friendly through emails
We have rented alot of places in the McCall area over the years and this is at the top of the list. The home was just beautiful, inside and out. There was plenty of room for both families and it was very cozy and comfortable. We had ask the owner ahead of time if there was room for snowmobile trailers and he assured us there was and there was indeed plenty of room. We loved that it was located in Donnelly, after a long day in the mountains we got to come home to a quiet place in an idyllic setting. We highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again soon.

Very clean and well maintained on the lake. I’m 77 years old and worried about the stairs down to the lake. No issues. Last year we had great fishing on the paddle boat with artificial lures, not so much this year. This year we must have caught 75-80 fish off the dock on worms. Nothing big except 2 catfish Really a fun time for the kids. Hopefully we’ll we back again next year.
I have never seen my children, more excited about a house in my entire life! The kitchen was stocked the best of any VRBO I’ve stayed at which was so nice! The views cannot be beat. The only things we would recommend is having some fleece blankets for snuggling on the couch And some candles to fill the house with yummy scents for all seasons! Make sure children and grown-ups have shoes for the deck to avoid slivers. It will need to be refinished at some point in the future.
