Beautiful furnishings. Comfortable beds. We tripped a breaker trying to cook dinner and another one in the morning making coffee. The heat is pre-set so you can't adjust it but we were given an electric blanket when we complained. The owner was not present but she called/texted several times to check on us. The TV is a smart TV with no instructions, so those of us who don't have one at home were a little confused. The hot water for showers was just hot enough but cool for a tub. The tub taps are disconnected so you had to fill it using the shower.
This was a wonderful overnight spot for two couples traveling to Canada. Our hostess left us a ton of unexpected amenities. The property was on the water and although close to the road, a quiet place for sleeping. We loved the wrap around porch! Karen’s Diner down the street was delightful and delicious for breakfast and the previous evening we enjoyed a lobster roll and ice cream at Shuckins Lobstah which was 15-20 minutes away.
An interesting old house with some fine furnishings. Surprised to find this was actively owner occupied, lots of personal items in rooms and kitchen. Difficult to do own cooking due to owner's items in refrigerator and kitchen . No access to the river. Very easy access to the house and helpful notes left by owner. Appreciated owner's flexibility with dates and vacating house during our stay.
