Have some fun in the sun this summer at Northstar! There are so many things to do in the summer months, at Northstar and all around Tahoe… Northstar is running five-day mountain bike camps this year for kids 9-17. The big pool at the rec center is open, plus there are hot tubs, tennis, pickle ball, bocce ball, and more. Around the lake, you’ll find river rafting, beach fun, parasailing, stand up paddle boarding, lake cruises, and hiking. And if lazing around the house is more your deal, we’ve got a quiet patio and gas-fired grill waiting for you.

You have a lot of rental home choices at Northstar, so why pick this one?
Our home is comfortable, elegant, clean, and has a lot of those little extra touches that will make your stay pleasant. We take care of this family home, and make sure it’s well-equipped so your hard-earned vacation time is hassle-free. The kitchen is stocked far beyond the basics. There are toys to keep kids entertained, and of course we have wifi and Apple TV with streaming services for some chill time. There's even a grand piano in the living room.
And of course, plenty of room in the garage and driveway for your mountain bikes!
So make yourself at home in our beautiful family house on a convenient residential street in Northstar. Our elegant house is perfectly located for quick access to the Village and has everything you need for a family getaway—or a two-family getaway: Two of the bedrooms have king size beds, while the third has two twin beds, plus a trundle. The 2600 square foot house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms on two floors, plus a loft with a sleeper sofa.
We’re conveniently located just minutes from Northstar’s Village and the ski lifts. You don’t need to drive, though: Park your cars in the two-car garage and call the free shuttle to give you a lift. It’ll pick you up right in front of the house.
Enter through the handy mud room—the perfect place to gear up—to the main level and the heart of the house. The open living room has soaring cathedral ceilings and a stunning wall of windows. Relax by the cozy gas fireplace with marble surround or chill out in front of the TV with streaming services and DVD player, if you’re old school like that. The living room features lots of comfortable seating. There’s a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room on the main floor.
The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with all the cookware and tableware you might need. Enjoy tranquil backyard views from the large wood dining table or, in summer, head outside to grill on the gas BBQ and dine on the patio.
The spacious master suite is on the main level and boasts a king size bed and romantic gas fireplace, plus a marble bathroom with double sinks, a walk-in shower and jetted tub.
Upstairs you’ll find two more bedrooms. One contains a king size bed. The other is equipped with two twin beds, plus a trundle, so it can sleep up to three. The upstairs bathroom has a shower over bathtub configuration.
Renters also have access to the nearby recreation center, which has an up-to-date fitness center, locker rooms with showers, saunas, three outdoor hot tubs and a lap pool, all of which are open year round. In the summer, there’s also a large swimming pool, splash zone and toddler pool. You can also play tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, and horseshoes. Retreat the adults-only clubhouse with free wifi, leather couches, and a library, while the kids hit the game room, which has video games, air hockey, foosball, and ping pong. There's a playground for kids and even a summertime arts and crafts tent. The rec center charges a daily fee.
A quick note about rates, because VRBO doesn’t display them well in the initial quote. We charge a nightly rate plus a $225 cleaning fee. There’s no upcharge on the cleaning fee: Our cleaners earn a living wage in this area which has a high cost of living. Placer County requires an 11% tax on all rentals, including the cleaning fee. And of course VRBO tacks on its own fee.
Required STR Permit information:
Maximum nighttime occupancy is 7; maximum daytime occupancy 12; parking in the garage is for 2 cars with an additional space for 1-2 in the driveway.
STR permit STR22-4297.
