Yaroomba Beach borders Point Arkwright, which is a beautiful headland 2.5km south of Coolum Beach. There are fabulous rock pools alive with all kinds of sea creatures. The point is particularly popular for spear and rock fishing, and is a favourite spot on the coast for surfers.

There is a wonderful bush track through the reserve that meanders along the headland cliff with lookouts to take in the beautiful coastline, both north and south. Picnic tables and viewing spots make this track a favourite for locals. A walk up Mount Coolum is another must do, with a well constructed track that allows you to pick your pace.

With world class golf courses nearby, there is plenty to do. Alternatively, you can just relax on the deck watching the ocean and the people out swimming or surfing.

Great location and house but is in need of some TLC.
Pros- the location is absolutely fantastic and the house is spacious and very liveable . We had 3 couples and there is easily room for 2 more without being in danger of feeling crowded. Property is overlooking the beach with direct beach access assuming you’re ok to walk through some grassy dunes to get there. The BBQ was clean and ready for use. Entry to the property was seamless. Cons - this property has NO Airconditioning, which was completely unexpected given the nightly tariff we paid. There are Airconditioning outlets in some of the bedroom’s, but they have been intentionally decommissioned. This means all the bedrooms other than the master bedroom have little breeze from the ocean and were quite hot. Cannot imagine what it would have been like during the recent heatwave we had. The property description is silent on Airconditioning, meaning they haven’t said they do or don’t have it……we assumed incorrectly. The dishwasher didn’t work. We contacted the property manager who sent an email apologising for the inconvenience but no action taken. Not really good enough. The kitchen is lacking in cooking appliances. We could only find a small wok to cook some Pancakes, which isn’t sufficient for a party of 6. At 55, I’m not all that keen to be sitting on converted milk crates when trying to enjoy a drink with our friends as the sun goes down. This may be seen as suitable outdoor entertaining setting in some people’s minds, but it’s sadly lacking for the demographic mostly likely to be renting this property. The pool hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival. It had sand and plant litter on the bottom and some random long black hairs on the surface, meaning it hasn’t just blown in just prior to our stay. Overall, I don’t think we would choose to stay again given it’s the little things that make the stay enjoyable. The house is in a great location and the view and proximity to the beach is perfection, but the lack of airconditioning, a working dishwasher, an unclean pool and insufficient cooking appliances just grinds a little too much to warrant a return visit.

Delightful
Stayed at this spectacular property for a 60th birthday celebration with international guests. 10 people accommodated comfortably with plenty of space. The agent was very professional, commutative and a pleasure to deal with. Location superb with direct access to beach and a view to die for. Will definitely be back.
