Dogs are welcome at the property, but prior written arrangements must be made with the owner. While the property is dog-friendly, we ask that dogs remain out of carpeted rooms and off the beds. The property is not fully fenced but is surrounded by dense bush, which provides a natural barrier to deter wandering. There is a fence around the pool and garden area.

A lovely property with great outdoor living areas & yard for kids. House has ample room with 5 adult couples & 5 little ones aged 2-8.Very comfortable. Reasonable wheelchair access, husband is a paraplegic & once onto outdoor areas & house it was easy for him. Maybe a small ramp could be valuable down the side near the garage.We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay,thank you.

Family 80th gathering

The location of this property is ideal to escape from hustle and bustle of Noosa (but 15 minutes close enough to engage if you wished too) Eumundi only 10 mins too and Doonan hotel great for casual dining 5 mins away.Our family of 16 enjoyed the outdoor dining area and made good use of the BBQ and outdoor tables facilitating seating for us all in long dine format.The pool is large and great for groups albeit the dark charcoal tiles surrounding the pool are very hot and thongs in summer a must to access the areaBedrooms were adequate but did diminish in quality at far end of house where only one bathroom and one toilet was in close proximity to accommodate 4-5 bedrooms (ensuite at opposite end of house for main very large bedroom ) and dual access ensuite other bedroom that same end ). The grounds are well maintained and nice to have herb garden access for cooking given we foodies . Would have been handy to have an empty pantry or similar to place dry cooking ingredients in close to cooktop/cooking area . Plenty of refrigerator space , big outdoor esky for drinks - sort your own ice but lasted for days.Floorboards inside are lifting/undulating in places - wet weather or tree roots not sure - we put items down to flag trip hazard floor areas particularly having 80 year old parents with us . Overall a lovely property but needs a bit of TLC maintenance to lift & modernise some interior areas including some of the soft furnishings incl old lounge room couch .

Impressive House and location

We were a large group of family and friends that stayed at this property and it was very accommodating and suited for a large group of people. The house is massive and the Outdoor area and pool are a great added bonus. The fact that you are surrounded by bushland makes a great private setting. Would highly recommend this property.

A group of friends and I stayed at this property for a weekend and had a great time. Melissa is very easy to organise our booking with. She was also very understandable with changing the amount of guests that could come due to covid. The property is amazing and everyone thought it was the nicest place they had stayed at. It is a short drive from most places we visited and far enough away that we all felt secluded. This is the second time I've stayed here and will be back in the future!

Girls Weekend

What a wonderful place to stay for our annual GW. Huge house with plenty of space and rooms for everyone. Masses of crockery & serving platters etc. Communication from the manager was top notch. The only draw back would be the lack of aircon in the bedrooms, with the exception of the master. The location is very quiet and leafy at the end of a cul de sac, cafe Doonan is about 10 minute drive away, which has great food & coffee. Noosa Heads is not far either, about 20 minutes.

Problems

The fan in the master bedroom didn't work which meant we had to use the air conditioning longer. The master bedroom bed was invaded with black ants twice resulting in bites. The 3rd outdoor fan didn't work. The instuctions send by e-mail for the spa are incorrect.

Long Weekend at Doonan with family.

This was to be our biannual Mother Daughter weekend, however border restrictions made that impossible. So it turned into Sisters and spouses. We had a lovely time at this enormous dwelling. A couple of items malfunctioned which was disappointing. But overall I’d recommend Illowra for a group of up to 10 or 12.
